4.21.23~ Got this to protect a pair of Nude Suede boots. Boots I searched years for in the perfect color of Neutral. Yet most reviews on everything suede said it would darken color. Didn't want darker color but if I didn't try~ the darker color would be dirt & scuffs. Finally decided on this Red can of Kiwi Waterproof. Let me tell you~ This. Stuff. Is Everything. Not only did it not darken my perfectly beige boots, Brought my Black suede ones back to life. A beautiful deep ebony. When I did spray, used a softhair brush, usually used to clean suede, to brush the silicone. Sprayed, Gave it a minute to sit then gently brushed. Hour later Repeat. So far from this can I've waterproofed~ * 2 pairs of knee high suede boots * 2 vegan leather purses * I dooney pebble leather purse * 1 reebox white sneakers All in multiple coats. Not a stain or discoloration. Also included in the waterproofing by overspray, the patio chair. Which now beads water as much as the rest of the things I can feel safe about. Between you and me it was hard to take the chance I'd lose the color I wanted. Not only do they look as beautiful as before this spray, the food dropped on them wiped off. This is legit silicone. Will stop a water like wall. If you hold the 7-10"away when you spray & take your time, It's all good. Actually better than good. Makes old new again. Protects new from life. Arrived on time. Fumes strong I did my boots outside and brought in garage to air out. Seemed to repel water from my boots and hunting clothes. Not sure how long will hold up after hours of heavy rain.

    • Works Great in Thick Coats
For suede leather and fabrics, apply a thick coat that appears soaked, and it will dry in the sunlight quite quickly. Apply three coats, each a day apart is what I did, and you can have waterproof hats and shoes. Any yellow spots on white rubber can be wiped away. It's probably cheaper to use the brush on method, but these spray cans are so easy to use and ensure getting an even coat. It's incredible to hold something under a running water faucet and having no water at all on the object, works like magic on hats. I just bought more cans to get in the tight spaces of my shoes and boots, and then work on my backpacks and some outdoors clothing. ... show more

The good news is, I was able to water proof two pair of shoes yesterday outside. I set the can on a paper towel on a table overnight. I sprayed the shoes again this morning outside and left. When I came home, the house smelled like this spray. The paper towel was soaked and I could hear and see it leaking out of the bottom of the can. There is no way to return it obviously, at least I got two coats out of it. Beware after you use it, I'd store it in a plastic bag just in case. ... show more
