I took the chance of ordering a Kitchen Aid - Pro 5 Plus 5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer - Ink Blue "Used - Very Good" condition. It did have a "Free Return" option with my Amazon Prime so I ordered it. It was shipped in original Kitchen-Aide box inside an outer cardboard box. The mixer was in perfect condition, packed in original packaging, users manual in original plastic unopened, accessories in original packaging. The "Kitchen Aide box looked like it had been in rain, faded but well taped. I paid $264 for this $600+ machine. Very Happy with this purchase.......very happy with the seller! KNM

I loved my classic, so this was a Christmas gift to replace the Classic when I passed it on to a friend. This Pro mixer is horrible, it makes terrible squealing, whining sounds like a crabby two year old. It leaves about an inch of unmixed batter on the bowl walls because the beater doesn’t fit the bowl, so you have to drop the bowl, take out the beater, scrape the beater and the bowl, then put it back together. When it mixes anything more stiff than room temperature cream cheese, it turns at an uneven speed, surging then slowing, surging then slowing, over and over again, whining the entire time. I have it on a table in a closet so I can close the door when it runs, minimizing the horrible noise. I hate this thing so much that I bought a cheap hand mixer to use instead. Save your money and your ears and don’t get this annoying thing.

I got my first KitchenAid mixer from my aunt when she died, second one from my father when he died and used each for years until they died. When I ordered the last one, I thought it would be as great as my experience had been with hand-me-down KitchenAid mixers, but this time, it was new. Maybe that's the catch. I asked Rufus if the bowl from my old one would fit the new one. He assured me it would. He was wrong. It's a different shape. Then I used it only to have it whine and whistle when it ran. I am truly disappointed in KitchenAid, not to mention Rufus not being the source he claims to be. I will get over the bowl difference, I guess I will get used to the whine noise when running. The color is nice.
