A good toaster from a good brand that looks good. The chime of the completed toast is appreciated and the bagel setting works nicely too. The slots are deep and wide enough for a variety of things to be completely cooked. It toasts almost too well. Gluten-free bread can be deeply toasted at setting 3/5. For the first few months, the toaster would make slight banging noises after toasting, but it did eventually go away. ... show more

I have only had one Kitchen Aide in my life that was just ok. Everything else including my new toaster is amazing. The color hasn't got that Sparkly Candy Apple Color. It is called Empire Red. It is fine, but I did think it would be more Candy Apple. Even my car is. But other than that, let me tell you about my new one. It is perfect in size, slightly larger than my old one. I don't worry about burnt fingers with the lift. I love the lift. It has a really nice size crumb catcher with the kitchen aide logo on it, There are 5 speeds and they toast evenly on all. The holder inside inside cooks evenly on both sides and I tested them out for that reason, just don't use sticky stuff on the bread (like a dirty knife and then put it in and maybe that will help with toasting. I don't plan on having to watch through the openning. The cord is fairly short, but they all are that way today. Other than shade of color, I love my toaster and I highly recommend it. ... show more

Finally a toaster that toasts both sides evenly! It seems to be well made; the lever pushes down easily, and when the toast is done, it makes a little ding sound. I purchased this toaster in red and love it. Very well priced. Really happy with this purchase.
