  • It will burn you bad!
Style: Countertop Oven With Air Fry
The media could not be loaded. I just plugged it in and put on toast. There was so much heat coming off of it I barely touched it and it burned me. I got out my meat thermometer and it reached 222 degrees within 2 minutes 3 inches from the handle. Insane. Noone should buy this. It's dangerous to have ... show more

  • It's Kitchenaid. PERIOD!
Style: Countertop Oven (Discontinued)
For decades Kitchenaid is the "#1 brand" of small appliances in my kitchen. Actually, the only time I had a Kitchenaid small appliance that didn't perform well was a hand mixer that I returned less than 24 hours after it arrived because it was HORRIBLE. My stove (Not Kitchenaid) has a true convection oven that works beautifully. I also have an air fryer that also works great. But I needed a toaster oven. Seeing several different brands, I decided to give it a try on this oven and I have to confess I chose it just to have everythign mathing in my kitchen (same brand). I couldn't be happier. It really surprised me. It's a small oven doesn't take much space in my small kitchen but it is POWERFUL and way more useful than a mere "toaster oven". In a few weeks that I have it, I caught myself using ONLY the Kitchenaid and forgetting the large stove oven exists. The dual convection works REALLY well, my puff pastries "inflate" beautifully, the heat is always even. Pizza: awesome bread: OMG, perfect! cakes: yep, perfect Now the big surprise that I don't know why Kitchenaid doesn't advertise that. IT ALSO WORKS AS AN AIR FRYER AND THE RESULTS ARE WAY BETTER THAN A REGULAR STANDALONE AIR FRYER! Simply select convecion bake and set the temperature to maximum. Bingo! you have a giant air fryer. It means this oven actually saved space in my kitchen because now it makes no sense to keep the air fryer. (I already gave it to my neighbor that was thinking about buying an air fryer.) If you're thinking about buying an expensive air fryer, stop right now! get this oven. You'll have an air fryer, a toaster, a toaster oven, a regular oven, a convection oven and even an oven witha meat probe (that also works great). Kitchenaid spent some years without new products that are really revolutionary. They were probably doing their homework designing this oven. The result is beyond perfection. Oh, and It's 1800W and it plugs to any regular kitchen outlets (20A circuit, which is mandatory by building codes). You don't need to spend money having an electrician installing a dedicated outlet, but of course, have the common sense of not using other appliances in the same circuit simultaneously with this oven. ... show more

  • This is the one.
Style: Countertop Oven With Air Fry
Ok, seriously I spent over a month trying to find the right countertop oven - I bought the mueller one - too small, the breville compact I did a ton of research and was still skeptical , bravo xl, ninja foodi etc - this kitchenaid is the one. I did buy a heat shield strip to put under the device just in case because Of where I have it but it does not get overly hot, it is not loud, I have cooked a lasagna, roasted artichokes to pizza rolls and soft pretzels and fries.....this popped up last minute when I was coming in and was going to give in to the breville until I saw this - I can’t say whether or not that one is great or not but I have nothing but amazing things to say about this so far - (decided to build a mini kitchen during this pandemic) - recommend!!!!!! ... show more

  • Mostly good, some bad.
Style: Countertop Oven With Air Fry
It's an attractive countertop appliance although not particularly small due to the depth versus width. It heats quickly, internal thermostat is off by about 10% which I think is pretty common for a toaster type oven as they cycle on and off fairly frequently during use because they have very little insulation. Lack of insulation is also what causes the exterior to get very warm - at 450F cooking temps, the sides go to 180F, and the top to 113F. The back stays fairly cool and I didn't bother to test the bottom. It's got a variety of settings where the machine makes a determination for you as to temp and time and I find that you have to adjust most of those with the little knob to make it right for your particular use. The air fry feature works quite well but does create a bit of a problem. The no-turn basket is just that, a basket with holes in it. As the food air fry's, any grease in the product drips down onto the cooking rods or the bottom of the cooking area and smokes. That smoke comes out the back or the machine and made me think the machine itself was catching on fire. This was while cooking breaded fish filets which don't have much grease. If you were doing something like chicken wings, I suspect it would get ugly and so something fatty like that should probably just be baked on the solid tray so there are no drippings. My wife bought this to replace a one year old Black & Decker convection toaster oven and frankly, it did about the same thing at half the price but she's convinced the dedicated air fry setting on this makes it worthwhile and I'm not going to argue with her about it. We tried a dedicated air fryer and were not impressed and returned it because the food stacked in the middle of the pile didn't get as crisp as the outside pieces whereas this lays them flat and circulates the hot air around all sides. ... show more
