I haven't made a ton of things with this so, can't speak for how well it makes some things but I do now that it has worked well for the stuff I've needing mixing for. I'm also amazed at how many attachments exist for this things allowing such a variety of items to be made. Hopefully this one lasts as long for me as my nana's lasted for her too! Side note, if you don't have the ice-cream attachment get it!! I made homemade ice-cream with this and it was so easy and so good! ... show more

Loving the Artisan Model! I’ve never owned a stand mixer so it was a treat to use it for cookies, pie crust, etc. over the holidays! Wish the paddles were dishwasher safe for this amount of money but oh well.

    • Breaks easily
Where do I start… I honestly dislike this machine so much for a number of reasons that I’ll write here👇🏼 When you read this, take note that I’m a professional baker. 1. It has a power from 1-10 BUT they recommend you to not use past the number two…which is fine if you want to mix cookies, but if you want to use the hook to knead dough for pizza, bread etc it’ll BREAK. Over the past year I had 3 different ones and each one breaks because the motor can’t support to knead for a long time (+20 min) or stiff dough like for bread,pizza, pita… 2. It moves LIKE CRAZY. It’s supposed to have adherations to the bottom so it doesn’t move while mixing but it still does! Everybody who has a KitchenAid knows this. I left one mixing while I went for water and it literally fell down from the kitchen creating a crack on the floor. 3. The bowl and attachments can’t go in the dishwasher. They eventually get oxidation and cracks in the attachments making it lose the paint. 4. It’s extremely hard to remove the bowl of the base sometimes, super annoying. All my kitchenaid had the same problem. 5. The hook it’s so small for the bowl. Everytime I knead some bread I had to use the paddle attachment because it takes all the dough from the bowl while the hook only mixes what’s on the middle and leave the walls full of flour and residues… So, as a baker I don’t recommend it if you want to use it daily and for bread. It looks beautiful and works for small things like cookies or whipping cream. ... show more
