Love this mixer and the color is awesome. My only issue is that I bake my items with Truvia and Stevia and the mixer chugs trying to mix what I'm making since batters much heavier and thicker.     • Shocking decline in performance
Before purchasing, I kept hearing from family and friends on the recent decline of the kitchen aid product line. Despite this, I was still hopeful and decided to purchase one and test it for myself. Upon opening and placing the item on my kitchen counter, I immediately noticed the poor craftsmanship. There was thick grease smeared around some areas on the machine. I also quickly noticed deep and small scratches all around the inside of the steel pan itself. Honestly, it simply did not feel like a new item. Still, I remained mostly optimistic and decided to make some dough. The mixing capacity was shockingly terrible. Even worse than I imagined. Keep in mind that the dough was not too dry, and the mixer should not have been struggling so hard to mix basic ingredients. There were moments where it felt like the mixer was struggling so much I thought it would shut off. Overall there are two things I simply don't understand: 1. Why does this product have so so may 5 star ratings? 2. Why is there such a decline in the quality of such an expensive machine? I've heard from my grandparents that kitchen aid was a trusted brand back in the day. It's no where near that quality right now. Needless to say, I will be returning this product. ... show more
