  • I fell in love
Color: Contour Silver Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
I don't usually write reviews, but I love this food processor. I've used it for chopping vegetables, nuts, and seeds, and it handles everything effortlessly. What really impressed me is how well it processes small seeds without leaving large pieces behind or getting stuck. It's powerful, easy to use, easy to clean, and the 13 cup size is perfect for meal prep. The quality feels excellent, and it has quickly become one of the most used appliances in my kitchen. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Great unit and the onboard blade storage it really nice
Color: Empire Red Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
So I got this for my wife to replace her 20 year old kitchenaid food processor. This new one has several advantages over the old one. 1. The motor noise is much lower, It's pretty quiet compared to the old one and just seems quiet in general. We'll see if that holds up longer term but I was impressed by the sound level. 2. The blade storage system is really nice. The old unit just didn't have a way to easily stack the blades and accessories inside the bowl. The jumble of parts made cut fingers a risk so we just didn't do it. The main blades stayed in but the rest of the parts were stored somewhere else. 3. Power seems really good. My wife has done some bread dough and a few other things so far and she's commented several times on how well it worked. 4. The bowl just lifts off. compared to the old one with it rotate and lift setup its just a little more convenient and easier to use. Only thing to get used to is the latching and safety systems. They're not bad but the lid has to be FIRMLY latched down to energize the unit. She had a couple of times where the lid was down and the rubber seal engaged but it wasn't down that last 2-3 millimeters to the latch was fully caught and the unit wasn't running. She asked me to look at it and for a minute I thought the breaker had tripped before I figured out the latch wasn't down 100%. Not a huge deal and once you figure it out you know to double check it but it's something to be aware of. In our case the problem was made worse because the power cord for the coffee machine on the other side of the kitchen island had gotten a little loose and the coffee maker wouldn't turn on. So initially it seemed like the power to the island was out all the way. ... show more

  • Great Product with a Few Design Flaws
Color: Black Matte Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
I love my food processor but it has a few annoying design flaws. First, the top rather than twisting off has a right hand hinge. First, unless you take the top off the hinge it is in the way when adding product. Second, unless you have your hands on them, the smaller plungers go flying across the room. I have broken corners off the middle plunger twice. Both the bowl, the top, and the plungers are made of a brittle plastic. I anticipate having to replace them in fairly short order. As a slicer, shredder and processor it preforms like a champ. I have made a total of 20 pounds of pimento cheese and prepared and Italian sausage dish as an appetizer for 350 for a fundraiser. All the slicing, shredded, grating and processing was done quickly and efficiently. The fact that shredding or slicing blades can be attached above the processing blade saves time by combining two processes into one. Except for the design limitations. Except for the design limitations I mentioned it is the best processor I’ve owned. This is my third generation. ... show more

  • Glad I bought this one!
Color: White Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
I love anything Kitchen Aid the quality is always very good. I’m very happy with the size as I do a lot of large quantities of food. It takes a minute or two to figure out how to take it apart to wash but after you get the hang of it it’s easy to clean. The difference spreads and pulsing mechanism makes for perfect control. ... show more

  • Nice Replacement
Color: Empire Red Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
I bought this as a replacement for a KitchenAid food processor that my late wife gave me for Valentine's Day 2005. This model is much lighter in weight and shows many design improvements over the older model. For one thing, it has a rubber gasket that prevents flour from being ejected when mixing in butter for biscuits, pie crust, or scones. It's also more compact, allowing me to store it in less room. The motor doesn't seem as powerful, but it spins a bit faster, so some jobs take less time. I see what I think is a design flaw with how the lid connects with the bowl. I'm concerned that it'll be a weak spot that's easily broken. So, I'm being extra careful when removing the lid for cleaning. So far, it's a worthy replacement. ... show more

  • Easy to use, clean and keep handy
Color: Contour Silver Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
I have been looking for a food processor that was easy to use and easy to clean. I also wanted something that does not take up too much counter space because I use it everyday. I have had it since Christmas and so far, the Kitchenaid is a tough machine that is easy to clean, assembles easily, and does a great job with whatever I make. The one exception is the dough paddle. It does not do well making pie crust or dough. Just use the regular blade. That works best. ... show more

  • Would Be Great, But One Fatal Flaw Would Be Great, But One Fatal Flaw
Color: Contour Silver Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
This processor looks nice, the bowl itself is sturdy, the adjustable slicer is convenient, it has adequate power for most uses (except pizza dough). It has a leak-proof bowl, but that's where the flaw comes in. The work bowl has a shaft that is secured to a small, plastic gear underneath with a small screw. The part of the shaft that attaches to the gear is square-shaped which fits into a matching grommet embedded in the gear. In my case, the first time I tried to use this food processor with pizza dough (as I've done many times before on my Cuisinart that lasted 12 years), the metal grommet slid around the shaft, causing the blade to stall, and completely stripping the connecting surfaces of both the shaft and the grommet. When I took the screw out to investigate, a small pile of metal filings fell out onto the countertop. Additionally, the stack of washers used to secure this assembly was pathetic. One of the washers was bent, suggesting that the manufacturer attempted to secure two ill-fitting parts by over-tightening a screw. Horrible design, not worthy of the KitchenAid brand (though with the possible exception of the famous mixer, I don't think they're trying for quality anymore-- my KitchenAid refrigerator looks great, but it's handles keep working themselves loose -- I think it's just a Whirlpool with a KitchenAid label). Photos are included of the stripped shaft and grommet. I have not been able to find these particular replacement parts anywhere on the internet, so I tried to drill through the shaft and gear/grommet assembly to install a pin, but the shape of the bowl does not allow for the installation of a pin, so this thing is toast. For the first time almost ever, I got rid of the original packaging right after I received it, so I now have a new electric paper-weight. ... show more

  • Great processor Great processor
Color: Contour Silver Style: 13 Cup w/ Exact Slice Lever Pattern Name: Processor
My wife likes it pretty well and it stores all the attachments well in the canister. Cuts down time on chopping everything and saved a good bit of time when she makes lumpia or homemade chicken nuggets and some kind of minced chicken formed in a ball (fillipino thing). It would be nice if that had another layer or 2 of blades instead of cutting at the bottom only like most processors. ... show more
