Update: the seller reached out and sent a replacement mixer. The new one is a bit less noisy and works just as well. I've used it a couple of times. It mixes fine, but it is so loud that I cannot recommend it. It is deafening loud. My partner who is very hard of hearing commented on how extremely loud it is. I use this for mixing bread dough, nothing else so far. It is quite powerful, not too heavy, sits safely and still on the bench while in use - the suction cups keep it motionless. I can't find fault with it yet, so it comes highly recommended.

My wife loves to bake. I bought her a full size stand mixer years ago. But now it has gotten to the point that it is too heavy for her to maneuver. Even the bowls are very heavy. She doesn't like leaving it out all the time either. Counter space is too precious. This mixer is a little smaller and a whole lot lighter. She can pick it up and put it away by herself. It does a good job with what she is making, also. She is very pleased with it. I wish I could tell you all the things it does that she particularly likes but that is above my paygrade.
