So I started making sourdough about 6 months ago, mixing by hand. We have a small kitchen and having a huge mixer would not work and I mostly mix about 350grams flour in my recipes and this mixer does pretty well. Now I did buy the extended warranty as I wasn't sure how long this will last and I will stay within the limits of how much load it can be under. It is actually perfect for two of us and my wife can also use to make pies and meringue. For the cost, I couldn't be happier. Now I will say the head twist & turns when it gets to mixing but just pay attention.

The media could not be loaded. I'm absolutely delighted with this mixer! Its compact size is a huge advantage over my old, defunct Kitchen Aid, making it much lighter and easier to store in my under-counter shelves. As an avid sourdough baker who usually mixes dough by hand, I was impressed by how well this mixer handled the task. The dough turned out softer, more pliable, and better mixed than when I did it manually. It also performed perfectly when I made cookies. I initially worried the bowl might be too small for my sourdough and other recipes, but that hasn't been an issue at all. The splashguard is a fantastic feature, preventing messes when I inevitably turn the power up too quickly. This little mixer packs a surprising amount of power and has handled all my thick doughs without a problem. The three attachments are excellent; I primarily use the bread dough hook, but the other two are great for mixing and whipping. Overall, I highly recommend this mixer. I'm very happy with my purchase, and the purple color is an adorable bonus!

I ordered this to be delivered to my son and daughter so that we can make cinnamon rolls when I go to Colorado. It work much better than we thought. The only thing about it is that I did not know how small it was. And also when you are doing a heavy bread, dough does slow down when you are doing the mixing of the actual dough (kneading). But it did work very very well.

My Rating : 3.75/4 Disclaimer : ** This is the first stand mixer that I ever owned so I don’t have an actual baseline to compare this to , so whatever I review will be based on my ideas of how a mixer should ideally be or the difficulties that I have faced or not faced while using this ** First of all, let me just state this that I refrained from buying stand mixers until now, because the price point of average stand mixers were beyond my spending power. So this was like a breath of fresh air, when I saw that this one was among the very few that was below a $100 and still had decent reviews ! The biggest turnoff for me is how disproportionately it is sized ! And again I don’t know if other mixers are also same or not, but I feel like for this one the head of the mixer or the main shaft where you attach the attachments is too big when compared to the size of the mixing bowl ! This hinders you from adding in ingredients on the go ! For example if you want to add sugar in batches while making buttercream you can’t do that while the mixer is on, because there is no space ! Or you would have to risk spilling it all out ! It is dishwasher safe (I mean the attachments and the mixing bowl) , so again not much efforts when it comes to washing this ! Until now I have made butter, buttercream and mixed cake batter in this and it has been a life saver when it comes to my baking needs. Because I have run it for at least 5 minutes non-stop without it heating up or any burning smell from the motor so I would attribute that as a good performing machinery. The attachments are on the trickier side, because they are easy to attach but not that easy to be removed! Like you need a certain amount of pressure to be applied while removing them and that is scary for me at times, cuz what if I pull apart the entire thing ! 😅 It has vaccum cups attached to its bottom so there is no problem of it moving around and that is a good thing ! However at times it can be a but irksome when you need to shift it from one place to another, like you really need to pull it with force for it to get detached from the surface ! Like I mentioned before it can run for a long time without any problems and until now i haven’t faced any issues which would tell me that the power is not enough to mix something! Would recommend it for the price point but if you can afford something better that doesn’t have the problems mentioned above and most of all if you need something with a bigger capacity then definitely go for that ! Because this is only for like small to medium batches !
