Maybe my expectations were too high. I like it, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a five star product. It’s too small for a large pot. And I’m not sure who boils pasta, especially spaghetti, in a small pot. It covers a quarter of a large pot and when you try to strain out the rest of the water, the spaghetti will slide right over and into your sink… You learn from your mistakes, I guess, and adjust accordingly. Once used, we stick it in the dishwasher. It takes up much less space than a traditional colander and that for me is worth the four stars I ended up giving it.

I have a four year old granddaughter who eats mostly noodles and ramen- I know!! Horrible. This item let’s us do a three step job in one. Instead of finding, using and cleaning a colander we just snap this on the same cooking pot and strain the water out. Fits very securely and no heat transfer!

If you have this in your cart or are eyeing it, GET IT!!! It’s so easy to use and it’s way less of a hassle to deal with than a traditional colander. I e used it on different size pots, and it works just as great with the big as it does the small! It stores really easy too! We have shallow drawers and it fits right in without scraping the top of the drawer!

ok this is the kinda innovative ingenuity i need in my life!!!! holy heck what a game-changer. it cleans super easy, clamps on to every shape and sized pan i own (even the wonky one the hubby dropped right on the rim and now none of our caps fit....) and just. works. so. well. so much less hassle than a strainer (those things are IMPOSSIBLE to clean i tell you) and let's me just use one dish (less dishes you say??? sign me tf up!!). everyone needs one of these i s2g

My family loves pasta and using this to drain it is so convenient. It’s small so it takes up less space than a regular colander, and is easy to clean just throw it in the dishwasher. It is also so versatile it fits all of my pots. You need this product in your life.

This is a great product, but it is hard to attach to the side of the pot. The clips don't open as wide as they should and it's a battle to get the clips open enough to attach securely. Once you do get them open and attached to the side, they make straining boiling water easier. The strainer itself could be a little higher to keep the pasta from spilling over the top but just use the lid for extra security. Does a pretty good job - and just throw it in the dishwasher for easy clean up!
