I won't say that this is a terrible kit, because it's not. It's decent, and it is fine to start with. I'm sure many beginners would be thrilled to receive a kit of this quality to start with, since there are so many lesser kits out there. But... there are also so many really GREAT starter kits, that this simply seems a bit... mediocre. It's all got to do with the tattoo pen, which is (and should be) the centerpiece of this kit. It's just not great. In fact, I really dislike it. For one thing, I dislike the shape and size. It's a personal preference, of course, but over time you know what works, and what does not. Pen has an awkwardly shaped grip area. There. I've said it. Beyond that, it's not great running. It has significant vibration throughout it's entire range. I used my own battery pack, and tested this pen from 3.0v all the way to 12.0v. I can say that it was rough running the entire way, with very significant noise starting around 7.0v, and actually screaming by 10.0v. Not impressive. The rest of the kit was fine. This is not setup to be a wireless pen (though it could be, if you have a battery pack that has an RCA plug). It's a AC power supply pen, and the AC power supply, cables, and foot switch are included. They're all fine. My one caveat with the power supply (which actually has a nice LED readout) is that it's very light. These super light power supplies tend to wind up on the floor. Annoying. There are also included: 20 tattoo needle cartridges, of which ten are liners, and ten are shaders, a single roll of black wide grip tape, a single pair of black latex exam gloves, a pair of decent tattoo practice skins, a small set of ink caps, and a corrugated cardboard box. There's nothing terrible about this set, but it's only fair to say that there may be better options out there. I think that for the price it's a bit overpriced, when compared to competitive products. Just my opinion, but you may wish to do some research before committing.

This tattoo machine is a solid choice for beginners. It's comfortable to hold and easy to set up, with low vibration and secure cartridges. The included extras are helpful for practice, but the ink may not be suitable for real skin. While the power supply is good, the cords could be longer. Overall, it's a decent starter kit at a reasonable price.

Do not use the ink that comes with the kit, I uses it over an hour and it did not even lay into my skin, it just scarred me. Very frustrated returning this. They should tell you clearly that the ink is not made for skin it should only be used for practice. The gun however seems legit its light the only drawback is the cords could be longer for the gun an the foot pedal.

This tattoo machine is a great choice! It's sleek and comfortable to hold, making it easy to set up and use for extended periods. The low vibration is impressive, and the cartridges click in securely. Adjusting the needle depth with a simple rotation is a nice touch. The included extras are a plus for beginners. The fake skin lets you practice techniques, while the stencils offer starting points for designs. However, I found the provided ink isn't suitable for real skin, so be sure to invest in proper tattoo ink. I also noticed the needles can pop out occasionally, but using a wrap helps keep them secure. The power supply is a winner. It displays the voltage clearly and comes with a foot control. The foot control is a bit small and could benefit from rubber grips to prevent sliding. One thing to note: all the included needles are the same size. If you need different sizes, you'll need to purchase them separately. Unfortunately, I found that this item was extremely overpriced by A WHOPPING 50 percent. Similar products were available on Amazon for much less. I had to deduct a couple of stars from my rating due to the high price. Overall, I'm happy with this tattoo machine and believe it's a good value. This would be a winner if they would just price it competitively. Just remember, tattooing is a serious endeavor. Do your research and ensure this is the right path for you before starting.
