These look great and work great for my bulk pantry items and seemed worth the expense after my first order of them, so I planned on collecting enough of them to store most of my flours, sugars, grains, etc. But my second order of three of them was placed directly in the shipping box with nothing to protect against impacts, and one of them arrived cracked with a small chunk missing (see attached image). Because the seller is overseas, it was going to be almost $40 to return it for my $24 refund. This makes no sense. I purchased a whole set of these Mepal containers, because I loved the clear tops and the general appearance of them. But they are definitely NOT airtight. After a couple of years of using them anyway, I gave up on them and found replacement storage containers.
