The media could not be loaded. CONS: Sanitation. PROS: Compact. Hot/Cold Water. Ice. Additional Thoughts: This is a free standing water cooler/heater and ice maker. It is advertised to be compatible with most 2, 3, 5 gallon jugs so guess what I did. I found a 4 gallon jug at Sams Club and it fit and worked. I purchased two 4 gallon jugs so I could refill them with my own filtered water and not have to fill them all the way. I also purchased reusable caps for them which are working well, so far. I will try to describe how this works as it is my first water cooler. After you place the water jug on top, the cooler will allow water to drain from the jug and fill a reservoir at number 1 (in my photo). Then, if you select cool/hot/ice, the dispenser pulls from the lower reservoir as needed, and refills it from the jug as needed. If you want cold water, press the Cooling button, and a compressor turns on and cools some coils that are in the reservoir. If you want hot water, press the Heating button and hot water will be dispensed. Pretty straight forward, but if you want ice, things change. Press the Ice Making button and the machine will pull water from the reservoir and fill a container for the ice maker behind the door that I point at with number 2. As the machine makes ice, the reservoir is filled from the jug. About very 7 minutes, the ice cycle completes and restarts until you turn off the ice maker or the ice bin is full. The ice will melt slowly if you leave it in ice making or cooling mode, and faster if you turn both modes off. The melted ice goes right back into the reservoir for reuse. I find that as a possible sanitation issue that may or may not concern you. Filling a standard mug takes just a few seconds. After having this for a couple months, I have not experienced any leaks. Overall, I only use this for cold water or if I want a hot chocolate. If I want ice I will use my refrigerator, unless I want these small cubes for some reason. LovingTheRetiredLife

The media could not be loaded. I cannot find anything wrong with it yet. I know it will take maintenance from other reviews and the instructions like descaling and cleaning. The ice makes pretty fast. Hope it keeps working for a long time as it was pretty pricey. As per one review threw out first cup of water and batch of ice.

There is no drain for the ice maker so when the ice melts it builds up and over flows instead of recycling the melted ice.

This little water cooler/ice maker is fantastic! I had this in my house but after about a week I moved it onto my covered and enclosed deck and it has made a big difference with how we use our deck. We can have easy access to ice and water where there is no sink or water hookup and we love it! All you need is a 110 outlet, which we have on our deck, so it works great! It makes bullet ice, is pretty fast and it keeps the ice cold. It is definitely comparable to my counter top ice maker but this one has a bonus with hot and cold water. I wasn’t sure how to clean it right at first, but it hasn’t been bad if I wipe it down as soon as I am done using the ice maker. When I know we’re done with it, I clean out all the ice so it isn’t sitting with ice in it while I am not using it. It also has a nice silicone mat that the ice sits on inside the cooler which also makes cleaning easier. It has been great to have water right next to where I feed and water our cats. I don’t have to run inside every time they need a drink, which is always, in this dry summer heat. This is definitely worth the price since it has a great ice maker, makes the water hot or keeps the water cold. What a fantastic idea!
