The shade on this lamp is so pretty! It reminds me of the Gay Fad hand painted glassware you could find in the 1960s. I am not sure if these are actual pressed flowers on the shade, or if they are hand painted. It does not feel like a mass produced product. I have only one nitpick about it, and that is the light bulb they provided is not large enough to suspend the shade above the base. I had to get a large bulb and put it in for the shade to sit on the base properly. But that is a minor problem considering most of the time you don't get a bulb at all with the purchase of a lamp. I got this lamp for my 4 ½ year old daughter’s room, and she loves how pretty it is. Her room is painted a lavender color and she’s got mostly pink and white for her bedding and accents, and this flowered lamp goes perfectly in her room. Putting it together is super easy and literally requires screwing it all together, and to turn it on there’s a clicker on the cord which is a decent length. The only sort of odd thing is that the lamp shade wobbles a bit, but that might just be an issue of how I pieced it all together. This little lamp is so pretty and it gives off more light than I expected for such a small lamp. It includes a small LED light bulb and the glow from that bulb is fairly bright. The pressed flowers are even prettier in person. I'm pretty sure they're real flowers. It is not a printed lamp, you can feel the slighty raised flowers, petals, and leaves. I guess they could be fake flowers that they pressed onto the lamp shade, but they definitely look real. There are small imperfections in the petals, so my guess is that they are real. The switch to turn the lamp on and off is on the power cable. No fumbling near the bulb for a switch. Overall, this is a lovely lamp at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend it. ... show more
