  • Finally a high quality filament, at a reasonable price!
I was looking for some cheap prototyping filament to reduce costs during print testing and refining issues related to form and fitment of 3D designs inherent in the CAD designing process, and wasn't concerned about color, or type for that matter, and at about $10 USD/ Kg I went for this stuff, as the PLA I was using ranged anywhere from $15 to $30 /Kg, but man did I get more than a bargained for! When it arrived, I dried a roll, did my standard calibration like I do on any filament and set up a filament profile for it, from the first calibration print even with the generic PETG profile I already noticed it started out better than most, but after dialing in the settings, this stuff prints absolutely amazing! I have used about four rolls so far, and the consistency between rolls is top-notch, and so far I have zero stringing or clogging (in fact the only print failures I have had have been traced to the files on a few I have rushed through the design process and missed a couple of gaps in the geometry causing a bad mesh, I have had zero filament related failures). And as a surprising result from PETG this stuff sticks to the bed, and remains in place the entire print, but releases cleanly and easily upon completion, all with no glue or other adhesion modifiers to worry about, which combats the main issues I have had with other brands of PETG (some brands would have poor adhesion and come loose from the bed mid print without glue, or others would tear up the bed or leave fragments almost embedded in the plate that were nearly impossible to remove if you didn't use glue), I had long sense accepted that this was just a caveat of using PETG, but so far this product seems to retain the strength and rigidity of PETG, while having the ease of use and versatility exceeding that of standard PLA at a lower price point. I just ordered more, and what I originally intended to be a cheap solution for prototyping or test prints, is quickly becoming my primary filament for quality finalized prints with little to no post-print processing. ... show more

  • Stuck rolls or overly tightly wound from manufacturer.
Typically I love kingroon. Whether it's the PLA or the PETG or anything else in between usually they're might go to. But not this time I got rolls that are just stuck to themselves and it feels like they're almost so sticky within the role that is the role itself a 3D print I wonder? It is quite that bad. Hopefully on my next shipment if I go to you guys again it will be better. All I got to say is watch out for the red and the silver colors. Especially the red. I'm trying to print stuff and it is literally broken nine times once an hour and that doesn't even count the times that I got to it and was able to unstick it from itself before it broke. ... show more

  • I’m impressed! Quality Petg
Color: 1kg Red Size: PETG
I’m very impressed with this kingroon Petg. The first things I noticed upon opening the package were the nice plastic spool and the neat winding. Nice job kingroon! I usually preemptively dry all my Petg before even attempting to print with it because I live in a humid climate. I didn’t this time because I wanted to see how good this filament can be right out of the package. Well, it’s definitely good! The only problem I noticed was some oozing coming out of the nozzle when the print head sits idle and warmed up. This is to be expected with undried petg in my experience. Not taking any points off for this. The first thing I did was calibrate the pressure advance and flow rate. Then I sent a benchy over to the printer for a good test. It turned out really well! The overhangs are nearly perfect And there is almost no stringing at all. I would almost say it printed better than the other big name Petg filament makers I normally use. I’m probably going to be making a switch to kingroon for my Petg prints after this great first impression. The color of this red seems like a perfect fire engine red. It’s not a bright red but it’s not a dark dull red either. At this price point, if every spool of petg is this nice, you honestly can’t beat it. If you’re weary of the brand name kingroon because it’s not a big name like eSun or Polymaker and it’s cheaper than them, don’t fret! Buy a spool and try it out for yourself. 100% worth it. ... show more

  • Terrific, but color inconsistency
Color: 2*1kg(white&black) Size: PETG
Terrific PLA for the price. Print consistently and I have not had any tangles. I've been consistently buying/printing with this PLA with no issues. However, the whites are inconsistent. My picture shows 2 separate purchases, the earlier white spools are very warm and this new spool I got is very cool white. Not sure which one is the new normal, but this cool white spool is the more recent purchase and is quite drastically different in temperature. I'm sure it would look weird to mix with previous spools. ... show more

  • Good filament!
Color: 1kg Red Size: PETG
I am very happy with this filament. I dried it for about 12 hours before using it, but I'm not entirely sure I needed to. In any event, it flows well, it looks good, and I've had no trouble with it on my Bambu series printers.
