Description
How do I maintain the perfect three-color separation on my prints? Kingroon features advanced anti-twist winding. For best results, ensure the filament guide tube has a straight path into the extruder without tight loops that might force the filament to twist. What are the optimal settings for the brightest tri-color sheen? We suggest a nozzle temperature of 220°C - 240°C and a bed temperature of 50–70°C. Higher nozzle temperatures maximize the fusion of glossy elements and metallic pigments for optimal sheen. Does this tri-color filament string easily at retractions? No. Our formulation includes optimized anti-stringing agents, ensuring clean retractions and sharp color boundaries even on complex multi-part prints. Kingroon Tri Color silk filament printer beautifully on my Bambu P1S in the AMS. I love that the spool is still using plastic and doesn't cause issues with prints. Many other manufacturers are using cardboard spool that require you to print a rim. Also it's very neatly would. Silk PLA usually prints a little higher than regular PLA. I printed mine at 220⁰C. I recommended using OrcaSlicer's built in calibration to test the filament's pressure advance and flow settings. NOTE: Silks are more ornamental than functional because of their brittle nature and this one is no different. I would never use a silk for a bookshelf bracket or anything needing to carry a load. One of the things I really love about this color combination (red blue yellow) is its ability to show a rainbow of colors. It mimics the primary print colors CYMK in a print. When I printed letters with infinite walls (like concentric) it looked 3 dimensional even though it was flat. I would recommend this to anyone printing something needing visual punch.

This multicolor PLA filament worked great on my Bambu Lab P1S. The color transitions came out beautifully and added a really unique touch to my prints. It fed smoothly with no clogs or tangles, and the layer adhesion was spot-on. The prints came out clean and consistent, and the filament handled both detailed and larger models with no issues. It’s always fun watching the colors shift during a print! If you’re looking for a reliable multicolor PLA for your P1S, this is a solid choice. I’ll definitely be buying more!

Silk can be a little tedious to work with. I didn't feel like running a temp tower or anything. I figured I'd just take a shot. I went with 210/60 with 215 on the first layer. I always do 50mms speed on the first layer. Printed at 200 mms after that. First print was beautiful! Printed six more right after that, two at a time. One failed at the end because I'm guessing the tail moved a little bit. Overall adhesion was great though. It wasn't stringy at all but the prints did have some very fine silk hairs throughout. I used a mini-torch from about a foot away and they vaporized in a split second. Overall very pleased with the color effects too. I'll be buying more.

This was my first time using Kinroon filament. The dual color PLA silk filament looks great. From one side it appears almost purple and from the other it looks more black or at times blue. For the dragon that I printed the color shift make it look magical. The first layer was very smooth and had no problems sticking to the bed. The subsequent layers also had no problems during printing. The spool is plastic and worked fine in the Bambu AMS and mounted on the AMS Lite. I printed with Generic PLA silk settings in the slicer. I really dont have any complaints to report so I have ordered a Kingroon PETG for my next project.

The filament printed well enough, adhered to the bed well enough and looked pretty good. I fired off a 14+ hour print right after I got it without doing any particular testing or tuning, just using my standard PLA settings and only had a slight issue on a section that really should have had some support. All in all good. The colors looked good, but I had not noticed that is was multicolored stuck together as opposed to multicolored changing over time, so the effect was not exactly what I had hoped for, but it works well enough in my application.

Not only is this one of the nicest coasters in filaments I've used yet but for some reason the color transitions are more stable I don't know how else to describe it with the bicolor co extrusions I've used so far they look great but the line that demarcates one color or the other seams to meander around the model and I'm printing vase mode model so it's all in one direction it doesn't ruin the model but it doesn't look as clean either This filament however? Holy cow just take a look at the transition in my pictures it's consistent and smooth all the way up and down the model and when I print a hard corner model the transitions are crisp I am very very pleased with this I'm begging you I am begging you please do this with PETG!

I have a creality k1 max and this filament jammed in my extruder every time I tried to print. It would start out fine and then just stop. It looked like it would get pinched in the extruder. After attempting several different prints and all failed and jammed and tearing apart the extruder and a brand new nozzle I still had no success and clogged every time. Switched filament and attempted same print and was successful with no issues. Not sure if I got a bad spool or what happened. The partial prints I did get out looked really cool and had a clean appearance and didn't string and printed smoothly. I'm sad. I really wanted this to work. I really liked these colors.
