Silk can be a little tedious to work with. I didn't feel like running a temp tower or anything. I figured I'd just take a shot. I went with 210/60 with 215 on the first layer. I always do 50mms speed on the first layer. Printed at 200 mms after that. First print was beautiful! Printed six more right after that, two at a time. One failed at the end because I'm guessing the tail moved a little bit. Overall adhesion was great though. It wasn't stringy at all but the prints did have some very fine silk hairs throughout. I used a mini-torch from about a foot away and they vaporized in a split second. Overall very pleased with the color effects too. I'll be buying more.

This is a nice silk dual-color PLA. Transition of the colors is really nice on the side of models. On top/bottom layers, it produces more of a blend of colors vs a transition. Model in this review is to show both scenarios. This filament is easy to print with, and is perfect on cylindrical models and models with more “sides” than top/bottom layers. Since it’s a silk filament, the black silk comes out more of a dark grey than black. If you’re seeking a deep rich black, this isn’t for you but the color combination and transition of this silk black is quite nice. Printed smoothly on my P1S at 220°C, bed 60°C on textured PEI plate. Will def be ordering this again along with some other versions of multicolor.

This was my first time using Kinroon filament. The dual color PLA silk filament looks great. From one side it appears almost purple and from the other it looks more black or at times blue. For the dragon that I printed the color shift make it look magical. The first layer was very smooth and had no problems sticking to the bed. The subsequent layers also had no problems during printing. The spool is plastic and worked fine in the Bambu AMS and mounted on the AMS Lite. I printed with Generic PLA silk settings in the slicer. I really dont have any complaints to report so I have ordered a Kingroon PETG for my next project.

The filament printed well enough, adhered to the bed well enough and looked pretty good. I fired off a 14+ hour print right after I got it without doing any particular testing or tuning, just using my standard PLA settings and only had a slight issue on a section that really should have had some support. All in all good. The colors looked good, but I had not noticed that is was multicolored stuck together as opposed to multicolored changing over time, so the effect was not exactly what I had hoped for, but it works well enough in my application.

This is a nice and easy filament to print with. I have a lot of luck with silks from Kingroon. I am using a Bambu Lab X1C and had to do minimal tuning. I believe my max flow rate was a bit higher that it should have been, so I can't blame the filament for that. The colors blend well and change at a decent layer distance. Their is not a perfect color change filament because you have to use a lot of infill or a large part to get a good color transition. This one worked better that a few others I have. The axolotl was done with one wall and lightening infill, so you can see the color changes happened pretty rapidly. Overall, I use Kingroon PLA, PLA Silk and PETG pretty regularly and will continue to do so.

Friends recommended Kingaroon for great print quality, color, and price. I bought a roll and despite all our efforts, poor layer adhesion mid print. Seller promptly refunded me in full, without me even asking or needing to return it. Listening to friends advice again as they swore it must of just been a one off, I ordered another Kingaroon reel and I was quite happy with it. I have since ordered several now without further incident and I love it. Great color and print quality even at high speeds. Model in example photo is Flexi Factory's Mech Dragon printed in Kingaroon's cooper tricolor.

The filament prints up pretty but kept snapping . Had to manually unroll most of the time. Last snap was close to end of roll and I to had to crack off reel to find end and restring. Not sure will have enough to finish project this is my second roll - i only purchased a second because i had so much waste with the first one could not finish project be prepared to baby sit this PLA. It snaps - it does not spool properly. I had to unroll yards of it and re-thread as needed to make through the project.
