  • Great game so far, but promo code not working
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
Much like everyone else who bought this game, the promo code for the exclusive keyblade does not work. I contacted Amazon customer service and was instructed that this is a known issue and they hope to have it resolved in 24-48 hours. I had to pry for additional information, but essentially I was told to retry my code in 48 hours, and if it still didn't work, to write them back and they would issue me a replacement code. It has been almost 24 hours since I was given this information and at this point the code still doesn't work. I'm going to try again tomorrow night and if it still does't work, hopefully contact them Friday for a new working code. Now that we have the negative out of the way, let's talk about the rest. The case for the game is fine, no damage, no scratches on the disk. The metal tin case is a nice alternative. The artwork book was a little disappointing. The artwork in the book is nice, but I was expecting more drawings and a larger book in general (both in thickness and overall width and depth). I do really like the pin though, but my family collects Disney pins, so i'm a little biased (always nice to have an exclusive pin). The game itself is fantastic. I've waited for a long time for this game, and in watching the opening cutscene, i was hit with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. It was almost as if I couldn't believe the wait was over and the game was finally here. The developers didn't disappoint, and so far I have no complaints about the game whatsoever. This review honestly deserves a 5 star rating, but because of the code issues, I have to drop the score some. Once Amazon fixes the code, I will gladly amend my rating to 5 stars. ... show more

  • The hate is completely astounding
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
First and foremost, this is NOT a game for newcomers or people who have only played one or two entries. In the most sincere way I can say, you need to be a fan or at least catch up on previous events. The hate is very excessive and not all of that seems justified in my opinion. I saw a lot of hate which wasn't formulated in a way of legitimate and civil criticism but rather just ranting about every single little flaw while praising the glorious KH2. I love KH2 but I find it hard to criticize KH3 for something and then proceed to compliment KH2 for the same procedure in the very same sentence. It's nonsense to insult one game for empty areas but claim they were so much more alive in the other when in reality, they weren't. I remember people complaining about exactly that issue back in the day and suddenly KH3 is that much worse? I'll try keeping it short and just conclude with this; Yes there are flaws. But the hype and nostalgia surrounding this game is so immense that I usually keep my enjoyment of this game to myself. I just hope you come into this entry with an open mind and keep it in the back of your head that this IS NOT the final entry. The ending isn't the best but it was never supposed to be a conclusion to the series. ... show more

  • Incredible Game, Incredible Deal
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
Alright so first thing's first: as of January 31, I have not been able to redeem my code for the Dawn to Dusk DLC. As for the Deluxe edition of Kingdom Hearts 3, it was well worth the extra money. The steel book case is gorgeous. The pin is high quality (with the Mickey back to it). The art book is small. It didn't have a lot of the concept art I was hoping for. The game itself has fantastic graphics. The score is pleasing. New features that have been added include the attractions, gummi phone, and cuisine made by you and Remy from Ratatouille. My opinion on the attractions is that they're fun. Sometimes they're a little obnoxious by how big they can be (and a little unwieldy to handle) but they're good for taking out a lot of enemies with a powerful move. The gummi phone is pretty fun because you have the added lucky emblem feature and the camera as well as mini games. Finally, cuisine. Ingredients are everywhere so keep a lookout. Creating the dishes with little chef is another mini game and it gives you food that distribute temporary stat bonuses. Overall, this was a great purchase. I highly recommend this to everyone who has been waiting the last 13 years for this. (Longer than Sirius was in Azkaban!!!) ... show more

  • The best Kingdom Hearts so Far
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
This Kingdom Hearts game is by far the best overall. Fast gameplay, friendship speeches, deep story, and some of the best video game music out there. If you liked previous entries you will likely enjoy this one as it is a true single player experience without modern gimmicks in it. They do a good job at trying to catch up new players on the story however the impact of the previous games is best experienced within themselves. Even the cut scenes from previous games are worth watching just to get a deeper feel of the story. While on the surface and at many times the game feels like a children's game with shallow plot elements, the underlying stories are deep and dark enough to rival many of the happiest FF games. This game exemplifies the E for everyone rating as it offers everyone a game they can enjoy. There are 3 downsides though: 1. Frozen world is as bad as the movie, trash experience in game with unnecessary singing. 2. There aren't very many worlds to explore even if the ones there are feel longer. 3. No final fantasy characters. I would give the game a 9.9/10. ... show more
