Cover indicates 11th Generation only and maybe it does fit that one, but it does not fit the 12th Generation Kindle Paperwhite. The device can't be inserted as indicated because the physical width of the Kindle is slightly larger. If you use enough force to get it partly in, the plastic is spring loaded to pop it right back out. I really don't like applying that much force to my brand new device either. No idea if this is replaceable on its own since it is sold as a bundle and it was a gift.
