I have coffee every morning and have used cheap gas station plastic/reusable cups for years. They always leak or break. I was so excited when my kids got me these for Xmas! First they are so cute and fit my personality so much better. And I am so picky with cups because they had to be 1. Microwave safe and 2. Dishwasher safe. Most cups are neither-BUT THESE ARE BOTH!! They work great, don't leak (just make sure to tighten top well) and the lid can click to stay open or closed, while the main lid is on! I love the rubber grip on them as well. The cup does not get hot when microwaved either. I will say the liquid does not stay scalding hot all day, but that is just fine for me since I don't like my coffee that hot. I would say it stays hot at least 1.5-2 hrs before it starts to cool off. I cant wait for more designs to come out, I plan to stock up! Apologies for the coffee in the pictures, but I cant stop using them long enough to take pictures! ... show more

I bought these to replace old Copco cups that had stained and lost their lid threading after years of use. We like them and find this design and improvement over the old cups. The lids screw on more easily and more securely. Have had no problem with leaks in the month we've been using them. The flip-over cover for the drinking hole snaps into the open position. It does not snap into the closed position, so there might be some risk of opening if the cup was knocked over. Keeps coffee warm enough for the 30 minutes I expect from it. Has not stained so far, despite repeated warming in microwave oven. No deep crevices or tight corners in the lid -- easy to clean. I would buy these again if I needed more. ... show more

    • I love my cup, but let me explain...

I love my new cups so much! I have another copco cup that was my favorite coffee cup only one problem with that one was there was no way to close the top. By accident I happened across this one and thought they had changed the lids so I ordered this thinking I could use it interchangeably with my other cup. Well that’s not the case. But otherwise it was darn close to everything else I liked about my other one (which I still use, just not in certain situations anymore). The very first time I went to use it. It kept trying to leak out between the lid and the cup. And I thought oh no I should have listened to those few reviews that mentioned that. But I had the other cup I love so I bought it anyway. And of course was bummed because I couldn’t interchange the lid too. So I kept messing with it using water over the sink. I was determined that it was going to have to work so I didn’t have to return it. And after a few try’s... it stopped leaking and hasn’t leaked since! The only thing I can think it was was maybe the seal wasn’t quite pushed up in the top. That coupled with I double check that my ribbing start positions are lined up properly. Success!! I love my cup and now it has a lid that I can close and doesn’t leak on me! ... show more

Like many others, I bought these expecting I'd be able to use the lids on my older Copco cups as well. Not so. Then I dribbled coffee all over the front of my clean shirt several times during my first use. ARRRHGGHHH! Then I read the reviews as saw that (a) most folks seem to have leaking problems (b) but many also seem to overcome them. I intended to be one of these (b)s. The threads on the things are not normal screw threads with a lead-in starter. Instead they seem to be "Push the cap on really hard and it'll click, then turn it as far as you can as hard as you can." That seems to seal the lid nicely. The "...as hard as you can" part's a bit difficult for me, at 80 I don't have the grip of a youth of 60<G> but I grunt a bit as it works. Testing above the sink as suggested by others is recommended! The caps on my earlier Copco cups made coffee taste like it had been roasted with old tires. I threw them out years ago. The caps on these don't. I was very pleasantly surprised. I think I'm going to get another pair as spares. This is the first "commuter cup" I've had that didn't taste of eau d'Michelein. (or essence of Goodyear). The microwave compatibility and dishwasher safe characteristics are two other reasons adding to my 5* evaluation. UPDATE: With cap and cup clean place cap light on the cup. Turn it backwards (counter clockwise) with light pressure. It will click when the threads on the cap are engaged with threads on cup. Then tighten the cap gently then firmly. Test. Still leak? Take it off and repeat until you've got the feel for it. This does work! ... show more

UPDATE: I couldn’t bear to return these cups. I love everything about them except the leaking. However, I decided to figure it out even further. I realized I was filling my cup too high with my ice tea and on top of it I didn’t twist the lid until there was a little click. Low and behold I am keeping them and they work. (Old Review) Exactly what I was looking for. However, they leak so much. It screws but doesn’t have a screw stop. It should be a snap shut, which works better. I have tried and tried and constantly my iced tea would leak all over my clothes and floor. I hate returning them because I looked at all the 16 oz cups on Amazon and have not found a replacement in regards to color (teal), size and feel. If they fixed the leaking issue I’d buy again. So sad I have to send them back. ... show more

I read the other reviews before ordering. Therefore, I tested these with water first, to make sure they didn't leak. I had no leaking at all. Just screwed the lid on tight and ... perfect! I ordered these because they are microwaveable and dishwasher safe. I have done both and they still work great (not putting the lid in the microwave). This is a great product. I only wish they came in 20 oz. Also, I have a big nose, so it doesn't block the air hole, it just gets poked by the air hole stopper on the flip lid 🤣🤣. If they ever make these in 20 oz, they would be perfect! ... show more
