The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is a real game changer. The size is just right and the screen is wonderful, though as expected, the colors are muted. Nonetheless, it looks very good and is a pleasure to read on. I also really like the fig color. It definitely stands out from the crowd. The device seems to be well-powered CPU wise and performance is truly snappy. The pen works well and does now stick solidly to the side of the device with the new more powerful magnets. The writing feel is also great. I have terrible handwriting to begin with, but when writing on a glass screen it get really bad as I have a difficult time controlling the pen. With the Scribe Colosoft, there is just enough friction that I can write without a lot of extra “scribbles.” All in all, it’s been a wonderful device and has exceeded my expectations. It was definitely worth the wait for it to become available

I have been a committed Kindle reader since the Kindle DX10! My library is filled with books for leisure, work, and research and PDFs of journal articles. Screen size is important to me, so the standard kindle has never worked well, though I did have the Kindle Touch. I switched to Different generations of Fires over the years for color highlighting. I moved to the first Kindle scribe for the handwritten note capability and notebooks, but missed ability to highlight in color. I'm thrilled with the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft! What I love: Color highlighting for prioritizing, hand written notes: stylus is great, love the different tip options and colors. library organization by author and subject, notebooks. Love the new organization. Home provides easy access to checklist and list of recent reading and notebook activity. This makes it easy and fast to switch between different sources when doing research or writing. New features with the scribe increase organization of notebooks with folders and the ability to search for particular notebooks. I haven't had any quality nor durability issues. Is relatively lightweight and fits in my bag. I have the plant-based cover with stylus stored on the side, rather than the cover that doubles as a stand. I had that for my first scribe and liked it, but prefer case that you can hold like a book. I have a small foldable stand for working at my desk or table with it. Not scribe specific, but I have always appreciated the ability to print kindle highlights. This helps my adhd brain process material more effectively and efficiently. Areas for improvement: screen brightness not the same as original scribe, but it does seem to be improving. During the day I have brightness set at highest level, which may impact battery life. I use my scribe daily for work reading, notes and organizing and pleasure reading, so typically charging each day or day and a half. Strengths of the Scribe Colorsoft significantly outweigh the areas for improvement, which may already be underway. I also like the fact it's not connected to social media or email. It's easy enough to access those if desired with phone and I appreciate being able to immerse myself in a good book or concentrate on work.

The media could not be loaded. BUILD The device is sturdy and solid. The rubber nubs on the bottom of the device are held in place providing excellent protection. They feel like they will never come out and are definitely not glued in. But, I always have a quiver of extra protective items in place for my devices. SPEED This is a super device, just incredible. The graphic novels and the colors are fantastic. The layout and software are just a bit different than the regular Kindle scribe. The pens are very responsive and there is no hesitation or slowness in any of the operations or test that it is given. PLAN TO USE BUSINESS CLOUD OPTIONS I have noticed some options for import and export but I cannot comment on them yet as I'm enjoying this device so much at this time. SET UP Set up was absolutely simple and even quicker than any of my other Kindle devices that I favor (all of them). Even download times that you would expect to be longer because of bigger pages being downloaded are not noticeable. FIRST SECOND AND THIRD PARTY ACCESSORIES For me, there are just enough first party and second party items to make the most of this device available at this time. I did also grab some paper like feel covers and a Mars Lumograph (PC EMR) digital pencil, (the blue one) and a Lamy AL-Star (PC) EMR digital pen with some extra nibs. As you may find out by doing some research, the Amazon pro pen is definitely the best pen that there is (I almost went ahead and bought another Amazon pro pen) but I love the extra options by picking up the extra pencil and pen by STAEDTLER. I was also able to grab one of the Amazon"s professional portfolio covers. The leather on the new covers is beautiful. The Colorsoft professional portfolio cover leather has a slight crinkled pattern while my black and white Kindle scribe stand up cover is smooth. The Colorsoft scribe cover seems to take the scratches a little better. The Colorsoft cover folds to the left and opens up to the left with a magnetic fold over tab to hold the device and pen all together. COLOR AND PLEASING APPEARANCE TO THE EYE - ENJOYMENT TO GET SUCKED IN TO A LARGE PAGE The pages are huge and again that the color, especially a graphic novels or any colors graphics that are in any of the books also look wonderful great for the eyes soft on the eyes. SPECIAL DEVICE This is a special device as a Kindle. I feel Amazon developed the ultimate Kindle. What we have here is a color kindle mixed with color scribe that is blazing fast. But each kindle has its place. The Colorsoft Scribe is an incredible value for the price. Expect a kindle that pulls at your heart strings that is nothing less than a Colorsoft and a Scibe all mixed together like a perfect speedy batter for the perfect cake. Gosh just enjoy it as it makes your synapses fire.

I love it. I traded my 1st generation kindle scribe for the color soft scribe. I liove the smaller thinner size. I love the vivid colors and the options to take notes and highlight different colors. Its faster. I can read easier at night. Love the size. I gave it 4 stars because its too expensive. I felt slightly guilty for paying the amount of money it cost. I would have never gotten it if I was not able to get the discount with trade in and 60.00 credit. Even afterwards it was 500. I used gift rewards. I love it but not the price. Considering I kept my 1st generation so long and the price I am assuming its durable and will have to last a long….. time. I expect new upgrades
