  • Sound good
Put the speakers in my son‘s single cab F150, they fit behind the bench seat well. gives it good bass for one speaker.

  • Faulty product, good customer service.
Product doesn't seem capable of handling rated power, I set my gains around mid way and had my bass knob at 45%, began breaking the sub in over 3 days, on the 3rd day it blew. Good news is I requested a return upon realizing the damage and said request was accepted promptly. Within a couple business days I received a full refund hassle free. Overall, great care provided by Crutchfield / Amazon and I would definitely buy future products from them, however, this 12in Comp rt is a big no go. If anything, I've also used the 10in Comp c and that sub treated me very well. It doesn't get the loudest nor is it the highest sq but if you want more low end than your regular speakers for cheap and have a nice durable subwoofer, I'd definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • This thing hits really hard
I've got this combined with an LC2i pro, and kicker 46CXA8001 amp. On certain songs (3005 for example) the bass is ridiculous, even with the gain all the way down. Handles metal and rock really well too. Older country or songs with no literally no bass, there is still no bass so...can't be any punch if there isn't any punch to begin with. I've got this behind the seat in my 2021 F150 SCREW. Required seat relocation brackets and cutting the back padding to get it to fit snug and be able to lift my seat but it fits and you cant tell it's there. But if you're not willing to relocate and cut, this thing will fit under the seat on its back (not down firing). ... show more

  • Surprised & impressed
Very impressed oh how good it sounds. It doesn't hit the super lows but it is a slimline low power subwoofer so that is to be expected. It is loud on a my D'Amore Engineering E1000.1 amplifier. I have no space for anything bigger and I am please with it. Just do not expect the super deep notes.

  • Doesn't hit the low frequencies very well, final ohm load is WRONG!
This sub can't handle the lower frequencies and the final ohm load is WRONG! The sub itself might have a frequency range down to 25Hz but the box it's in with the radiator isn't tuned for that low of a frequency or anywhere close to that. Bass frequencies around 35Hz or lower don't sound as good. When compared to my JL Audio sub, this Kicker struggles at the lower frequencies, can't handle them and has a bit of distortion. Also, I had an amp stable at 2 ohms and it couldn't push this sub, when I got a new amp stable at 1 ohm this sub came to life, but still sounds bad at the lower frequencies. I've seen other reviews also stating the ohm load is wrong, it's a final ohm load of 1 not 2. This Kicker sub is a dual 2 ohm voice coil wired in parallel which presents a final ohm load of 1. Bass sounds good at the higher frequencies and hits hard but still a disappointment. This sub really requires a lot of power to sound optimal, it's rated for 500 watts RMS but 600 watts or more is needed to bring it to life. ... show more

  • Great Subwoofer box combination
I bought this for a 2013 Honda Civic Si, not exactly the best use case, but it worked out fantastically. Powered this amp with a Kenwood 5 channel, 500 watts going to the subwoofer. Seems like plenty of power for the subwoofer.
