  • good sub
I bought this sub along with a kicker amp and boss wiring kit a few weeks ago for my Subaru Outback. I am happy with the quality of the sub. It has a good smooth sound, and is plenty loud when I turn it up the rear view mirror shakes wildly and i can feel the bass in my chest. YOU NEED TO KNOW THOUGH THAT IF YOU ARE HOOKING IT UP TO A FACTORY RADIO YOU NEED A LOC CONVERTER. before you buy the sub look into LOC converters. they are fairly easy to install. youtube it, but you should know what you are signing up for. I recommend buying this sub. It's tons of fun. ... show more

  • Packs a punch
I've had this sub installed now for about 8 months now in a 2019 Cherokee. After the 2 week break in, and then another 2 weeks of me being too lazy to get the Amp tuned, I finally put it to the test. I've always liked ALOT of bass, but didn't want to run the risk of poking a hole in it with the amount of stuff that goes in the trunk so I figured downfiring would be the way to go. You get a great rumble that extends through the floor so you can really feel what's hitting. I love that I can throw stuff on top of the box and not worry about damage to the woofer too. Installing was a breeze. Highly recommend this sub for any bass heads or newbies. Downside (for me) is now I want more, so I'm probably going to get a second one to ensure I'm deaf by the time I'm 40! ... show more

  • Very good!
This 12" replaced my Pioneer 10" with same RMS rating hooked up to a 330W Alpine mono (a bit more than I need). This Kicker sounds so much better, clearer, and deeper. This thing pounds! I have learned that you need a good amp to make subs sound good. Bad reviews may stem from cheap amps. Give this a try and the down-firing box frees up the trunk. Why not go for the 2 ohm equivalent? 2 ohms will sound louder but not as clear and precise as 4 ohm subs. Will it make a difference? Not to most people. ... show more

  • This 150 watt loaded subwoofer is amazing This 150 watt loaded subwoofer is amazing
This thing is an amazing upgrade, when the speaker is in the same cabin space as you it sounds like a war zone. 150 watts rms has never sounded so good before. I would pair it with a mono block amp that's atleast 400 watts rms.

  • Two Timer Two Timer
So nice I bought em twice, sound great while playing deep Hip-Hop bass, Heavy Metal & everything in-between. Set up both with a single Kicker 800 watt amplifier. Holds plenty of weight on top with absolutely no issues plus the size gives me my 3rd row seat back.

  • Not for true bass-heads but way better than nothing.
Before buying and returning this product, I remembered a reviewer mentioning that it has good bass but not “competition bass.” At first, I was thinking that, well, I wasn’t looking for very loud competition bass anyway. That is, until I heard it for myself. Then I understood what they meant. For a little context, I have a 2010 Toyota RAV4 and I’m using a Punch 200-2 (200 RMS watt bridged @ 4-ohms). RMS for this Kicker is 150 watts so it’s a good match. The sub sounds good for kick drums and “some” low end bass but not the very low extension that you would expect from a bigger box. The enclosure is clearly too small for this sub per Kicker.com sub enclosure recommendation. As an example, there’s a song from Wiz Khalifa “Work Hard, Play Hard” where around the 15 second mark when the bass is introduced, it should sound like a boom (deep bass). However, with this Kicker sub, it sounds muffled (tighter bass). You can hear it but won’t feel it. That’s no bueno for a bass-head. According to Kicker.com, the minimum recommended sealed enclosure volume for this sub is 1.25 cu.ft. but the enclosed volume of this product is around .8 cu.ft. There is so much more potential for this sub by getting the sub separately and building a slightly bigger box for it. So, in conclusion, if all you want to do is fill in “some” of the low-end frequencies or round out your sound system to give it a richer sound then I would definitely recommend this Kicker based on that reason only. However, I can’t stress enough that this Kicker is absolutely not for bass-heads. ... show more

  • Does not produce competition base. But is a great product.
This little speaker works great but don’t expect to get that competition base you’re looking for these will only get so loud. I do like it well-made fits perfect but I have to upgrade to two 12s now and I’m kind of stuck with this and know longer need it I guess I will just hand it down to one of my grandkids. It’s a great starter speaker for your system, but you will soon realize it does not hit as hard as you would like it to. But that’s not the speaker’s fault it is exactly as described, but it does not hit like I wanted to. ... show more

  • Great for any 2 door JK make sure your highs and mids are up to date with this Great for any 2 door JK make sure your highs and mids are up to date with this
Great Fit For 2012 Jeep Wrangler Jk 2 door limited space so down fire makes killer sound . My limited Sahara has upgraded infinity stock.so highs an mids are good did upgrade the stock 8 Mb Quartz marine. And the amp is overkill at lowest gain possible. Remember 2 weeks lowest setting to break in the subs if u crank it up you will fry them. It will smell like transmission that s about to burn. However if you need small space for big boom this is it. This barely fit that's why i did not go for the thin radiator down fire for the extra 150. Now the 10s would work in that same product for extra money or just keep simple you get a knock around box good strong wood A 12inch kicker in small area so I recommend. If you want to spend coin Memphis audio shallow 12in same box. IF Iblow this out then my next would be Memphis. HOWEVER U turn heads with in speaker and box. I still have space and killer boom. ... show more
