The scooter is easy to assemble. The battery compartment is on the underside of the frame and has screws to the compartment door. My 4 yr old loved riding this scooter as he loves Chase and loved that it lit up. We got for him in May '23 for his birthday. Here in June, the back wheel has rubbed and worn down the wheel so much it has flattened out part of the wheel so he can ride it anymore. Will check to see if Amazon will replace it. ... show more

This scooter has been great for my little one who can’t quite get the hang of a two wheeled scooter yet. The extra features make it more enjoyable for her also, the Chase character design and the light up wheels! It is lightweight, yet very durable and sturdy. The deck is also better for her as it is wider than your standard scooter. She is able to put her feet beside each other on the deck which feels most natural and comfortable for her as she kicks and then rests her feet. It also has a non-slip gripping to keep her feet securely in place. The handlebars are easy for her to grip and keep hold of. She doesn’t hardly ever goes fast enough to need the brake, but as she gets more confident I’m glad the brake is available and we will teach her how to use it. ... show more

Easy to assemble. Just put the batteries in ( not included) push the handle bar in and go. Wheels and base of board light up. Looks cool at night. The only thing is, the handle bar does not turn the wheels. The child has to lean the scooter left or right to turn, like a skateboard. It has a break on the back wheel that the child has to push down with foot. He thought that was cool! Otherwise, it was a great purchase. Perfect for 4 year old boy. ... show more

Simple to build and exactly as pictured. Does require batteries for the lights (as I had expected). Rolls great with larger wheels. Toddler approved!! My 3 year old loved this for Christmas.
