I got these for a kitchen fixture without being sure what the color would be like. I'm starting to figure out the kelvin scale. The really yellow/amber ones are 2700k. 3000 is slightly yellow. 4000 is more white and 5000 is bright white (think industrial). I love the spiral element. The light is really bright. Almost too bright...so we did an "every other bulb" set-up with 3000k bulbs. ... show more

I bought these for the light fixture part of my bedroom ceiling fan, and control them with a device that lets me separately control fan speed and light brightness. (Treatlife Single Pole Wi-Fi Light Switch Fan Speed Control) At first I was concerned that the lights did not dim enough, but the app for the controller has a menu to let you select different dimming ranges, so now I can go from almost nightlight level to "clean the room" level in several steps. And that controller lets you integrate to Alexa to set either the fan or light levels separately, as it is seen by Alexa as two different devices based on the name you gave each. ... show more
