    • Works to keep the humidity out and the room COLD!
This thing works better than a window air conditioner! With a window model, the humidity gets pumped into your home. With this one, the air in your home is circulated and the humidity in the home is burnt out of the air! So NO HUMIDITY if you’re using it in a bedroom or on a level away from the kitchen (if you’re boiling a lot in the Summer and who does🤦🏻♀️). Otherwise, if you’re not adding moisture on your own, there’s no humidity and an oscillating fan will direct the cool air to another room if you, like me, cannot have your bedroom window blocked by plexiglass in case of a fire. Yes! You will need to purchase a small piece of plexiglass if your windows push OUT instead of UP! I have never felt more comfortable in an apartment space before because the window air conditioner would add humidity to the space! ... show more

    • Great Option for AirConditioning/Heat Combo Unit

I bought this because my HVAC unit wasn’t cooling and the repair company couldn’t get to my home for over a week. I am pleasantly surprised by1) the cooling and heating capacity of this unit 2) the quiet operation 3) and the out of the box/plug in, set, ready go. It can cools a large space in the home, larger than specified especially if you have an open floor plan. In a closed room/ bedroom, it’s superior also. Unit comes pre assembled with rollers already attached for easy access movement through the house. The only challenge I had is fitting the window kit into my area. Even with the window kit challenge, I give it 5 stars and I ordered another unit to use at relative’s home, with their generator, to plug in during storms and power outages! They even specially designed the shipping box, so there is no heavy lifting at all! Once you untape the box it lifts completely from the bottom so you don’t have to tip the unit or lift it at all. You just roll it right out and place in corner, near a window to vent through the precut vent kit hole! I like this unit!! Great buy, can be used for many purposes! Buy it! ... show more

    • Not a self evaporating unit using the air!!!

Bought this to replace a window unit that has leaked water back into the house. I wanted to do away with all water leakage. With this unit you have to have a drain line because it leaks water out the back. Also, It didn't come with a screen or plastic cover for the outside tube. So if you don't have a window screen ,animals and debris can fall in and the circle tube reduces to an oval coming from the round tube to the outside causes it to not sit level on window seal. Now that I have ripped the packaging open and its so heavy, I won't be able to send this back. Honestly have not even tried using the remote. P1 error comes up on screen and there is nothing in the manual that says what that means. ... show more

So I actually took the unit apart to see if there was something wrong with the “heater.” There isn’t, the unit appears to use the compressor for the AC regardless of what mode it is in outside of fan. The compressor is used to dehumidify, the AC uses the compressor and blow the air from the compressor unit, and the heat reversed the flow of air to blow the cold compressed air out the exhaust and the radiator air out the front. Interesting design, but if the co Press or goes, everything goes. Also, the heat definitely is not even 8k btu, so best used as supplemental. It should be noted they state it’s for supplemental heat, but I was expecting an actual electric element, not a bastardized airflow regulator and an AC radiator. Also, heat only drains on the lower tank, so you have to have the drain low which is proving difficult in a sealed basement garage. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is our second Keystone product we purchased for our household. We decided to get this portable air conditioner because almost everyday here in Ohio there has been a heat way. Our sons room get very humid and recently very hot. This portable air conditioner is perfect for our baby’s room and for the space we have it in. Setup was way easy. We just had to put a couple pieces together and turn it on. The main pieces is the window panel and exhaust hose. Once those two are connected securely, you’re basically done. We have a baby gate to section off the air conditioner from the play area. Since the air conditioner has wheels, it makes it easy to move it around. We love the auto setting. This setting is great because it helps us to save on energy. We basically set the temp to 74 on auto and it turns itself off once it has reached that temperature. Along with the keystone Dehumidifier, our sons room feel so much easier to breathe in now.
