  • Great product!
I literally lose my keys at least 3x a week so this is just so perfect. The beep is loud and you can find a way to hook it to almost anything. So worth the purchase!

  • Excellent product!
An excellent product! Pros: -Colorful and easy to spot transmitters -Transmitter signals are very loud (when the speaker isn't covered/muffled) -Remote is a good size, easy to hold and the buttons are nice and big -The remote stand has non-slip padding on it -Batteries for the transmitters are provided -Keyrings are provided for all transmitters -Four small adhesive dots are provided for the transmitters -Transmitters are lightweight Cons: -Transmitters are rounded on the top and bottom and this makes them difficult to stick to things -Transmitters are not phone-friendly (I would not be able to easily attach a transmitter to my smartphone as the transmitters are rounded, curved, and twice the width of my phone) -Difficult to attach the keyrings to the transmitters -I wish there was a convenient place to put a small sticker so I could mark each color on the remote ("car keys", "truck keys", "wallet", etc.) How It Works You receive a lightweight package (easy to open) and slide out the contents on a see-through, plastic casing. The only thing you need to buy to for this product is two AAA batteries for the remote. Everything else is included (e.g., transmitter batteries). Push open the battery casing on the back of the remote and insert the two AAA batteries - this is very easy and doesn't take much strength at all. I used a quarter to open the transmitter backs (this is the easiest thing in the world and I don't understand why others have had trouble with it). You only need to turn the battery compartment cover a few millimeters to the left to open it and insert the transmitter battery. When you turn the battery cover closed it will give a little click, letting you know it's closed completely. I took a close up picture to show three remotes: one's battery backing is closed; one is in the unlock position; and the last is open. After putting in all batteries, I attached the keyrings to each transmitter. This was more difficult than I had bargained for. You need the keyring attachment if you're going to put a transmitter on a keychain, though. Although there were only four adhesive dots provided (one for each transmitter), I used two to apply one of my transmitters to a small DVD player remote. On this particular remote (which is about 2/3 the size of the Key Finder remote) the transmitter sits awkwardly. I wish the design of the transmitter were not rounded and curved for this reason. I put one transmitter on the aforementioned DVD player remote, one in my purse, one on the car keys, and one on the truck keys. I tested all four remotes and they worked perfectly. They emit a very loud BEEP BEEP BEEP every time you press the corresponding remote color. If you use the adhesive dots to stick the transmitters to anything, make sure the transmitter is facing downward, so the speaker is facing up allowing for louder location beeps. Also, a little red light flashes. The little red light isn't very useful, I find, and I wish that the whole transmitter would light up (perhaps in a later design?). One of my pictures shows the red light flashing on the blue transmitter (the picture is slightly blurry - sorry). ... show more

Works very well, hubby is always misplacing keys, wallet, etc, this gadget has proven to be very practical and helpful for him, only set back is that is bulky for wallet, great on keys

  • Works very well
I Attached the fobs to a cell phone case, keys, wallet. To install the battery into the fob compartment: on the fob back, use a coin or the flat side of a key and turn the slot to the left or counter clockwise to open the fob back. The + sign on the battery has to be showing topside, slide the battery under the black notch in the upper right interior, then press the battery down. Place the fob cover on and using the same coin or the flat side of a key, turn the fob cover to the right or clockwise ... show more

  • The best device ever!
This is the easiest device to help one find their keys. I love the sound the system gives when searching for a key. It is very easy to use. I plan to purchase two more for gifts

  • Not as useful as I thought
My dad has dementia and I hoped this would really help them out. Unfortunately, the remotes are kind of clunky and not easy to attach to things that he typically loses like his cell phone, coffee cup, and wallet. The sound works great, however, it just doesn't work on the products I had hoped to use it on. But I could see it being useful for other items, like keys. ... show more

  • Tortoise Adventures (with poetry)
There once was a tortoise, Her friends call her Clyde. She likes to go wandering And then likes to hide. A remote little corner, A tortoise-sized nook Maybe under the dresser Or nestled with books. The darker the better, A good place to snooze. All quiet and comfy Is where she will choose. It's all well and good 'Til it's time to come home. You'd think I could find her, But this time ... heck no. Will she come when called? She's a tortoise, so ... no. Will she make any noise? She never has. (It's the boys that tend to make noise, and then under very ... special ... circumstances.) Will she snooze for the better part of THREE OR FOUR DAYS (or more) because it's winter and that's what she does? YES! So, given the above, after a couple of cursory searches, did I then crawl around on my hands and knees with a flashlight at 11 PM? Yes. Twice?? Yes. The second time, did I break out my professional-grade knee pads because nobody over the age of twelve should be crawling around on hardwood floors, AKA, I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS CRAP?? Yes. Did I spend a restless night dreaming of turtle-gobbling house-coyotes and turtle-sized holes in my walls where she could fall into the crawl space and get trapped and starve to death? Yeah. She owes me big for that. The next morning, did I begin to methodically tear up my house, moving every piece of furniture that she could conceivably hide behind, looking in places that a baby mouse couldn't squeeze into, much less a 1.5-lb. tortoise? Why, YES. Yes I did, and thanks for asking. Did I drag out the vacuum cleaner because OMG it's astonishing how much dust accumulates under there? Sigh. Yes. Halfway through, did I enlist the assistance of a highly-amused friend? Yes. HIGHLY amused. And did we find the errant tortoise five minutes later in the VERY NEXT CLOSET? Of COURSE we did. The same closet that I had looked in THREE times already? At LEAST three times. (Do I have any clue how she got in there, because I don't remember that particular door being open at any point the day before? Nope, still no idea.) Do I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT?? Seriously? At this point, do you have to ask? Yes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product, especially for anyone with a small, house-roaming tortoise. P.S. Right, the actual review. I like this particular product because it's small and light enough not to bother the tortoise, you can replace the battery, and there are four fobs in case she gets another friend or three (her current friend has exactly two hiding places, and I know them both). I also like that it's "base" oriented and not "app" oriented. Apps can get updated past the phone's OS, get deprecated, or otherwise just go away (e.g., the company gets bought and tanked by a competitor). This thing worked Day 1 and will work after the zombie apocalypse takes out the internets. P.P.S. Kiddies, don't use anything permanent to attach - no glue, or velcro, or even super-sticky tape. Your tortoise can definitely feel it (her shell is a lot like your fingernail, and her spine is actually at the very top). I used low-adhesive masking tape, then stuck it to my sweatshirt once or twice for good measure. Worked like a champ. P.P.P.S. Her name isn't really Clyde, but I'm claiming poetic license (I'm an Amazon reviewer, not the poet laureate). ... show more

  • Freaking life savor
If you have an older tv remote you might have to buy a case for it, or this does come with adhesive velcro strips but it does make for a bulky remote. Over all, this is a freaking life savor. Beeps are loud enough to hear from another bedroom. And it comes with batteries, key rings, and adhesive velcro. A must have if you have kids who just can’t keep up with the dang remote. ... show more
