  • Well Built, Premium
Color: Black Fern
Got this chair to use for a variety of things, but mostly for using at the beach, and for camping-style outings. I was sort of surprised how large this was, even when broken down into its portable form, it takes up almost as much space as a standard lawn chair, while sitting a lot lower. It's not too heavy, despite the size though, so its still decently portable. As far as sturdiness goes, its average. Oddly enough, even with it all assembled and locked in, it has some forward backward wobble, as well as side to side. For something this highly priced, I expected better, to be honest. It's not too low to the ground though, and for a 6ft male, its fairly comfortable. I can comfortably extend my legs and not have them hit the corner of the chair, and getting up is pretty easy. It's not slammed on the ground like some beach chairs, but its probably half the height of a lawn chair. I think the design is cool, and you can assemble it in about a minute, but again, its three pieces, and I expected it to be a folding chair, rather than an "assemble every time" chair. As you sit in it, you'll notice how sturdy the sitting and leaning surfaces are, and that might not be to everyone's pleasure. For me, its definitely on the firmer side, and may get uncomfortable if sitting for more than like 30 minutes at a time. I think the goal was to make it more durable, which it does seem like it will resist sag over time, but it sacrificed comfort. Overall, this chair does its job. It's portable, and you can indeed sit in it. However, at this price point, I expected more sturdiness, more comfort, and even faster assembly. ... show more

  • Won't last
Color: Black Fern
Super uncomfortable and doesn't seem like it will last. Like the concept but don't have high hopes for longevity.

  • Wobbles.
Color: Black Fern
meh. The design is better suited for a small person. It not sturdy for me @ 200lbs; it wobbles, and feels uneasy when getting out of it. I handed to the 7-year-old and said, this is YOUR camp chair.

  • Mixed feelings
Color: Black Fern
This Kelty Rad-Arondack Camp Chair has its pros and cons. Pros: ~ Sturdy ~ Well made ~ Comfortable enough ~Collapsable (with some effort) for garage storage. You must disengage the arms and pull out the pins to collapse the chair. ~ The carrying bag can double as a dog tarp. ~ Instructions are attached to the carrying bag for easy reference. ~ Long armrests, however there's no padding. Cons: ~ Difficult to assemble and disassemble quickly. It takes time and effort. ~ Low to the ground, but not as low as a beach chair. ~ Takes up a lot of space if taking it camping (even if it's in the carry bag). ~ Will need to find a very level spot to place it, as it won't adjust to uneven land. Overall, I like this chair but wish that it was easier to collapse for transport. It's not convenient to assemble and disassemble every time you want to use it. At least it collapses enough to be able to hang it in the garage if using it at home. Even that takes a little effort to figure out. ... show more

  • Sturdy Camp Chair That Delivers Comfort
Color: Black Fern
The Kelty Rad‑Arondack Camp Chair is a great pick for outdoor lounging. The aluminum frame feels solid and the 600D polyester seat material seems built to last. I found it comfortable right out of the box, with enough depth and height to sit back and relax. The carry wrap was convenient for transport, and the chair’s build gives me confidence it will hold up during frequent use. What impressed me most was how portable this chair is despite its sturdy build. It folds down efficiently and the carry handle made it easy to move between backyard sessions or camping trips. The chair holds a generous amount of weight without feeling unstable, which adds peace of mind when relaxing outdoors. One thing to keep in mind is that the seat is a bit low to the ground, so if you prefer sitting higher you might notice this more than expected. Also, for full setup or breakdown you’ll want to give yourself a minute, especially if you’re carrying gear and seating at the same time. Overall though, this chair brings great comfort, durability, and convenience, making it a smart choice for anyone who wants reliable outdoor seating. ... show more

  • Sold Chair
Color: Wood Thrush
This chair is very sturdy yet lightweight. It’s made of aluminum with a very nice powder coated finish. All the materials including the cloth the seat of made of our very high quality. Easy to assemble over you get the hang of it. The carry/storage case is nice with a carrying strap and I love the fact that it doubles as a mat for your dog. Works recommend this for longer outdoor trips as it takes a bit to disassemble, but you can essentially fold it in half if you do not want to take it apart completely. The height seems just right for a lounge-like sitting position. This will become a staple in my camping gear and appears like it will last for years. I before it’s worth the price as the longevity of this looks very good. ... show more

  • Kelty does it again!
Color: Black Fern
First off, let me say how much I love Kelty products. They make wonderful tents, backpacks, and I even have one of their camping blankets. That being sad I wanted to give one of their camp chairs a shot. As I’m about 250lbs and 6 foot four, I needed a chair that would not only handle my size and weight, but would offer packability. My one grip as I feel, it is a bit cumbersome to put together, but it does offer a lot of comfort when you get everything set up. It is fairly easy to transport in its sack, and is made of a rugged construction Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and I’m glad I picked it up ... show more
