UPDATE: After about five or six weeks, I ran 6 oz of white vinegar through the machine, then another 6 oz of vinegar (fresh, not recycled), then 6 oz water. Then I used a Keurig brand rinsing pod (just like a coffee pod, only to clean out the machine), followed by two plain water cycles. I did all of this because I thought the flow of water during the brew cycle had slowed quite a bit. I'd actually had this on my calendar to take care of after four weeks, but... Anyway, here's one little thing I did notice about the brewer. I like to brew a 6 oz cup of coffee. If I don't get exactly 6 oz or more of water in the machine, it won't brew - and you can't just add an extra ounce and expect that to work. (For those who are wondering, the instructions state that 6 oz is the minimum amount of water to use for brewing.) That means I have to add ANOTHER 6 oz of water and tell it (again) to brew - then I end up with a 12 oz brew from one pod (better make sure whatever cup you're using will hold that much), which means it gets dumped and I start over. I'm very careful about adding the water, but apparently I've miscalculated a few times. I do wish the machine wasn't *quite* so picky about the water. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had a full Keurig machine over seven years ago. It died within months and, since I lost the receipt, I couldn’t get Keurig to help. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I purchased the mini plus for its small profile. It does what it says it will. An off brand use-your-own coffee reusable pod didn’t work, so I purchased the Keurig one and use that as well. It does sound like a constipated moose when it’s sucking in the water, not that I’ve ever been around a constipated moose. Just guessing. All of the coupons for coffee pods and Keurig cleaning products were expired over a year, which was very annoying. There was also a small nick in the paint of the handle. ... show more

If I’m gonna spend 100 bucks on a coffee maker I would expect that it’s going to work. I’m returning this after 2 1/2 months because I just kind of got tired of the multiple times my coffee has gotten ruined with double the amount of water… along with a lot of other reasons that having a really nice coffee machine really isn’t worth all the extra effort when you’re half asleep in the morning. Let me explain… I will put water in it, the water tank will suck up the water, and then it does nothing. I have to put more water in it back up to at least 6 ounces for it to detect the water to them brew the coffee. This is wasting my expensive organic coffee (which I love so I’m not letting it go) and completely ruining having my coffee in the morning. I do not want watered down coffee. LOL😁 Also, he gets a little tiring every day I actually have to pull the coffee maker forward from the wall to fill up the water tank. Why can’t they just build these things cute and small with a decent Reservoir size for water can just sit through at least 2-3 rounds of coffee? And then I just kind of got tired of having to fill my coffee in the little reusable cups. From time to time I would buy the Keurig cups but honestly I don’t wanna put more plastic out to the universe. And last, the coffee is never really hot enough… By the time you put your cream and sugar in it, it is pretty much almost room temperature. So I decided to return this and really go back to you a very basic pour over coffee with my tea kettle. For one reason, my tea kettle gets hot AF. Second reason the pour over contraption has its own microfilter, so it purposely brew the coffee pretty slow, slow enough that I’m actually getting more of the been into my cup. And this poor over plastic device doesn’t need a coffee filter and has wings that pop out that just let it sit over any size cup. And last, it takes up a lot less space and it’s a lot less work for me to just do it this way. I live in a very small apartment 650 square-foot one bedroom that has an island kitchen. Yes it’s amazing but that means I only have one wall worth of countertop space and only about half of that is actually usable because it does not contain the refrigerator or the full-size oven. I was pleasantly surprised this came with a "pod holder" to hold up to 9 pods! That's amazing to me. Secondly, it's easy to use, easy to figure out and makes a great cup of coffee. The "strong" setting on the machine is awesome for when you need a little extra kick of caffeine like I do sometimes in the morning. And lastly, I LOVE the color!! It sits pretty on my counter and goes with my decor. I also love that you can detach the water reservoir to fill it or for easy cleaning. That's a great feature in my opinion. Machine is great size for countertops and does deliver great tasting coffee HOWEVER for the price they should include the basket that you can put your own coffee grounds in. Also not easily cleaned unless you consider running hot water or Vinegar through it and calling it cleaned. In fact nothing wrong with old machine other than just can’t be properly cleaned Or sanitized so I have to throw out and buy a new one. All in all not a bad machine if you don’t mind spending extra money for the basket and replacing the machine yearly due to the fact it can’t be cleaned like it should be. ... show more

It does everything I want from a K-cup coffee machine, even better than its bigger brother I use at home. The downside of having to fill on each cup is not as bad as I had imagined. It brews well and doesn't have the splash problem I have had with other units.
