I put it together myself. I am not one to put things together at all. It took me about an hour and a half myself. The only part I found difficult to do was putting the corners on.. other then that, it was pretty simple. Take your time and make sure you are putting them together correctly. Shipping could have been a little better. One of the strappings was broken off so I made sure I had ALL of the pieces and that there weren't any broken before I even tried to put it together. Very important to do before you start. I had seen other reviews before I purchased that had complaints about missing or broken parts. Double check everything. Overall yes I would buy this and buy it again. It is HUGE! More then I had wanted but I am glad it is bigger. I have all my beach chairs (5), pool noodles, Umbrella, beach wagon and a few other things as well. I have it in a screened patio so I can not comment on whether it is waterproof or not. ... show more

Fantastic deck box! I purchased this deck box to store the cushions on my outdoor sectional. The seat cushions are 25.5" x 25.5" and are slightly too large to fit in a standard 130 gallon deck box. My husband and I put this together in as little as a half hour. It was simple to assemble and the instructions are super easy to follow. I'll be honest, while we were in the middle of assembling this I didn't think it was that much bigger than our standard 130 gallon deck box, but once we were done and put it up against the house I realized just how large it is. We are able to fit 9 seat cushions and approx 5 pillows. All pieces click together, and the top hangs over the sides so I do not anticipate any water or moisture issues at all. This is a good news, bad news review...but mostly good which is why I still gave it five stars. The bad news is that the shipment arrived missing the hardware to put it together. However, we called Customer Service and they were very helpful and understanding. They apologized and shipped the hardware very quickly, and it arrived within a week. the good news is that we could see this product was made very well. Overall the assembly was quite easy and straightforward. We are using it primarily to store patio cushions and some pool accessories, but the storage capacity is wonderful. In spite of the missing hardware I would highly recommend buying this unit. ... show more

Very roomie and solid, waterproof bin. We just had a big winter storm and no water entered! Was missing an inside corner piece but it was only to hide a hinge so it went together in about 30 minutes and looks nice on our deck too. Fits ALL of our cushions, big and small.

    • Water pools on top - one minor crack and you will have a ton of water infiltration

Worked fine for a while, though the top is not convex and not designed for water to run off. In fact, there's a slight concave shape to it so it pools water when it rains. Other than collecting dirt from water pooling and drying on top it wasn't a big deal until it got a small crack. Now the water is held there on top of the crack letting water get into the box. Gardening equipment got soaked before I realized this and I had to throw out some rusty stuff. Cushions got moldy. Polyurethane is nearly impossible to glue, too. This thing was pricey so I tried doing plastic weld - it may work (just did it - remains to be seen), but now it looks terrible where I melted the plastic. I really wish I had bought one that was designed better and has a non-bowl-shaped lid. ... show more

Overall, this is a GREAT product, but there are pros and cons. POSITIVES: it is huge, which is what I really needed to hold all my patio cushions; it seems to be very sturdy; I assembled it all by myself (one person) and had no trouble at all (very easy); it took a while to assemble, about 2 hours, but it was not difficult (the 2 hours includes a much-needed cocktail break!); it arrived ahead of schedule. NEGATIVES: the lid arrived with a crack in it, which I didn't see until I was on the very last step of assemblage; I plan to report the damage to the company (although I doubt they'll send me a new lid, we'll see?); the crack is actually okay because once I had assembled everything, it holds just fine even with the crack, and I secured it underneath with black electrical tape; the crack is disappointing since it's brand new (but it's not worth trying to return, because I had already spent 2 hours putting it together); another problem is that there were these four plastic caps I was supposed to have but they were MISSING from the packaging (but the trunk works fine without these caps, they were just aesthetic anyway; so again, I'm not going to stress about it). HOWEVER - this company needs to have much better quality control in knowing that ALL the parts are included in the box! I mean, come on! As for the crack, I realize it "might" have happened during shipping, but the caps were MISSING, which is no bueno!!!. I'm adding photos to show what I'm talking about. Regardless of all this, I'm really happy with the trunk, what a relief to have such a large storage box! :) ... show more

Love, love, love this patio storage box! Easy to assemble. The capacity is great; all the bottom and back cushions from a six chair patio dinning set fit in the box with a little room to spare. Water from a nearby roof spout blew onto the top and side of the box and the cushions remained dry inside. We are impressed with this item so far. ... show more

We went with the Keter brand because of their reputation for quality. Assembly was a breeze but you do need two people for support. It holds a tremendous amount of junk from the garage. The only con is that it is so deep that it makes it a little hard to retrieve items from the very bottom.
