The description of this product on Amazon says, "EXTRA SEATING: provides comfortable bench seating with a weight capacity of 220 lbs." However, the assembly instructions clearly state that no one is allowed to sit on this box. The first feeling after opening a pack and before assembly of the package is that the individual panels are very fragile. But after complete assembly, the box looks very durable, convenient, and beautiful. Assembly instructions are intuitive. Assembly is simple but requires care and attention. During assembly, necessary six panels snap together without screws or bolts. Assembly takes me about 5 minutes. The lid's hinge system looks flimsy, but it takes time to determine how securely it works. ... show more

Big enough for hot supplies and 3 - 4 towels. It is water proof, the chemicals and towels have always been dry. Sturdy enough to withstand hot summers and cold winters. Can put drinks on, but definitely cannot stand or put real heavy stuff on.

This thing can hold a lot of stuff! Deep and big inside which is great for packages, the top can actually hold a ton of weight! I think you aren't suppose to sit on it but I have and it's be fine! I've even used it as a table to install a front porch swing, setting the whole wooden swing on it to hang the chain and it's just fine! It is not subject to direct rain or the weather so not sure how good of a seal it has keeping things dry but in my case it keeps it all safe and dry! ... show more

Definitely do not agree with the 5's. As a storage box, these should have at least some rigidity, these did not. You could hold the individual pieces out (other than the lid) and they would have a substantial bend in the pieces. They snap together pretty well, but the box still flexes way too much. If you are truly looking for a storage box, save yourself the headache, frustration and disappointment and get a one piece storage box with a lid. They may not be as aesthetically pleasing as these are on the outside, but you can put a pair of socks in that without bulging out the side. That may be a bit of exaggeration...but not much.
