  • Took a lot to install, but the price is excellent
You'll save a lot of money by building yourself, but you will be putting in the labor. With the exception of a few steps on the roof that required one person on a ladder and another underneath, I did all the work myself. I'd guess it took me 20+ hours and I consider myself reasonably handy. The instructions are very good. Don't be afraid to "persuade" the parts so that holes line up. As you go further and further the structure becomes more sturdy and holes line themselves up more and more. I also spent a significant amount of effort and $$ on site prep which probably helped- I had a reasonably level gravel foundation to work with. Between the site prep, shed, ground anchors, floor kit, flooring lumber and sealant, I think my all-in cost was around $1,300. Looks like it'll last for years and years. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
While I could complain about the shipping damage or the holes not always lining up or the instructions not always the easiest to follow at the end of the day (well 2 because of the weather) it was put together fairly well. There is a hole or two in the roof were screws didn't line up that I'll have to patch with something like a rubber in a can and the sides will need it as well as there are dents and dings from shipping (plus a few from working things together when they weren't lining up correctly) that cause light to come through, but all in all with the right power tools, some reasoning skills and problem solving skills that this shed model can be repaired and used even if there is some minor damage if you're willing to work with it for the price it will serve its purpose and should act as a good skin if you want to build a more reinforced substructure to it later. Would I buy another one would be a hard decision to make right now (still filling up this unit), but if there are some changes to the model that make me feel it will provide a more secure and a longer lasting product. Such as: 1. better doors. The doors on this model use plastic handles with holes for a lock and with only 1 of screw being anchored into place on a thin sheet metal door that makes adding a clasp and heavier lock likely to ripe off the door. 2. Cross support for the sides. My biggest concern are the sides of the unit. The front to back is supported with 3 12 foot magnetic beam, but the sides are only connected by the roof (to those beams). 3. better shipping protection. While the picture I took on the misty day shows the ends of the box already ripped open and a hole on top (maybe from a plait being lifted off of the box?) a lot of the damage I found on my unit could have been prevented with some extra packing material in the box of even a thin on all sides layer. Then I would feel even better about buying a second unit instead of taking the extra time and money to build a custom unit. ... show more

  • Blew away and was destroyed in less than 3 weeks!
I would not recommend this shed. It took 3 of us 12 hours to build it and we are all decently handy people. 3 weeks later it blew away!! We live in Arizona so the weather is not that extreme and we had put pea gravel all around the inside and outside along with steaks to make it extra secure. The shed has no way to actually secure it to the ground itself which apparently it needs because it easily blew away and ended up in a crumpled mess. It was completely destroyed after blowing away. Waste of over $600 :/ ... show more

  • its not a amazon merchandise.
screws are too small for sheds very difficult to install.

  • So glad I got this instead of a "tough" shed.
Goes together like a Lego set with machine screws. Two people required, wife read the instructions and prepped hardware and helped tighen panels. Installed on a existing 10x13' concrete pad. Overall took about 8-9 hours but we are meticulous. I'm impressed with how sturdy this shed is. And I feel like I got a good value considering wood brand sheds want upwards of $2000 for a similar size. Living in Las Vegas, now I won't have to worry about the sun destroying my stuff and I'm confident this shed will last several years in the sun before it's due for a painting. No wood rot! Galvenized metal means no rust! Good buy. The seller had it to my house two weeks early! Happy customer. ... show more

  • Beautiful, but needs better shipping care.
There was some damage to the interior framing, but they worked around that and the outside results are exactly as pictured. The box was really beat up when it came, too.

  • Never want to build this again. But the second time will be faster.
Same as mentioned before. I'm a trained architect, have flipped two homes, and I can put Ikea products together in my sleep. The directions for this thing are cryptic at best. The illustrations look borrowed from 1950's text books. The directions are worded strangely and I can only assume most people would have trouble decyphering it. Recommend a complete overhaul of the instruction manual, with actual photos of the parts/assembly, and how to apply them. The shed could have been put together in under a day if the instructions were clear. It took us 1.5 days, with a lot of undoing, redoing, and going back to the way it was. I feel the instructions were also misleading to the point where they were meant for a shed other than WR1012 as some of the illustrations were completely off. The video online for constructing is worthless as it doesn't address the many issues the printed manual has. The material is also super flimsy and bends/dents at the slightest. Several of the parts were bent or dented on arrival. Being this was the second one delivered with box problems I opted to just go ahead with installing it. The box was torn and punctured in several places. Also note, the box is HEAVY. We couldn't easily move this thing and ended up unpacking pretty much where it was dropped off. Lots of plastic parts which also irk me, especially for the doors. Both glides are cheap plastic which hints at future failure in one of the most heavily used parts of the shed. This is a major cheap out on Arrow's part. Don't think you can do this solo, you can't.30% could potentially be done solo, but figure in someone else. Over all, I think the shed looks great once constructed. Eager to fill it up now. ... show more
