I picked up 2 pair of these 300w 6.5 2-way Kenwood speakers for my wife’s Subaru Crosstrek XV, and installed them in the front and rear doors to replace the crappy stock speakers, of which 3 had blown out. Just a heads up to anyone installing these in a Subaru Crosstrek, you will not be able to use the Crosstrek’s speaker mounts, nor will these speakers align with any holes in the door of your Crosstrek. Just make sure you have a good drill, and some titanium bits to drill your own holes. I used a 7/64 bit and the screws that came with the speakers and put three screws in each speaker as you can see in the photo I’ve included here. I’ve always been a fan of Kenwood’s high-quality audio products (head units and speakers, and these sound incredible!! Can’t recommend them enough! I've used Kenwood speakers in my home and autos for a long time. So it was easy to order these to use as replacements for my Honda Civic speakers. The sound quality is OK, not great, not poor. Could even be the factory radio. They'll do in an every day driver where i rarely listen to the radio. These did not fit the 6.5 inch adapter brackets and I don't know if it is the speaker or the adapter causing the issue. ... show more

Bought these to replace the worn-out and weak stock front speakers in my '07 Honda Pilot. Upon initial install, I was a bit disappointed and thought these speakers were "just OK" - better than stock, but just barely. WELL, as time has gone on, LET ME TELL YOU: these speakers are just great, especially for the price. I've had to tweak my EQ several times since installing because as the speakers break-in the performance gets better and better. At first they were kind of flat and lifeless, then with some usage hours the highs started sounding much crisper and clearer. A few weeks later I noticed my sound was suddenly BUMPIN' - no EQ change, same '90s hip-hip and alternative rock, but way deeper bass. Now I'm very pleased. So, these speakers definitely require time and use before coming fully to life, but once they do they're hard to beat at a $40 price point. I'm sure they'd sound even better if they weren't limited by my underpowered stock Honda head unit. In sum: very nice speakers, but you gotta break them in! ... show more

Sadly mine was delivered (in the consumer packaging box) in a thin bag... no bubble wrap, just a plastic white bag and of course the big ding right in the center of a grill. Luckily, I'm not needing the grills, and the box itself (while pushed through) encased two styro-foam protetcants for the speakers, and the grills were over the speakers...so, the speakers themselves are fine. Everything else is fine. The box and one grill took all the abuse and they should've used at least bubble wrap bag (or a box, as the kenwood box is as thin cardboard as it gets). These do come with everything we need to install. These also are high enough sensitivity to be able to get good volumes from a weak head unit. Using an amp might be pushing them too much, so ensure the amp is set properly. Either way, these are loud enough to be twice as good as the factory car speakers, and for 29 dollars, is incredibly good value. They do have decent mids, and mid-lows but shine in the upper mids to highs. Mine are set to 120hz but were going great at 80hz and at lower volumes could probably handle 50-60hz but I don't want to overheat them for too long. If you need inexpensive, clear sounding, loud replacement speakers, these will be great. The speakers are entry level and probably the best low budget there is. ... show more
