We needed a basic coffee maker with no frills but one that looks nice and doesn’t feel like cheap junk. This is it. The red and silver finish looks great on the counter top. It brews just fine and is easy to use. I read some complaints on others’ reviews but felt it was still a good option for us. It is. In regards to those reviews; yes, the unit could be a bit more solid and sturdy feeling. But for the price it seems just fine and I’m confident it should last. Also, I agree that the opening for adding water is a bit small and makes it a bit more challenging to pour water without spilling. But that’s a very minor issue. Some commented that it does not brew the coffee hot enough. It does seem to be a few degrees less than others perhaps but it is not a big difference and frankly I’d rather have this than some I’ve used that give you a scorching cup that you must let cool a bit before enjoying. Overall, very happy so far.

Makes an outstanding cup of coffee in minutes and without any mess or fuss. (Our Cuisinart was just a mess.) This Kenmore is so easy and mess-free, I set it up with coffee and water the day before, push one button to set the programmed time (3 a m in our house). Voila! Hot delicious coffee when we want it. I L O VE THIS MACHINE. Easy enough set up too. Programming the clock and timer are super easy. A tiny light comes on and even shows the programmed time. I like that a lot. We like strong coffee but have found this machine makes fantastic coffee without the need for utilizing the Bold option. (The 1-4 Cup/Bold option can be confusing. They should be separate buttons but they are not. We don’t need or use them anyway.) The coffee does not taste as good using the permanent filter as it does with paper filters. I buy the large Bunn filters on Amazon. The coffee maker works fairly quickly and you can steal a cup during brewing, but make haste. I love this carafe because it doesnt dribble; it has a clean fast pour. But because it is glass, the delicious coffee gets stale fast on the warmer. That first cup is really fantastic. Seattles Best Medium Roast is our choice for this machine, or Starbuck’s Pike’s Place medium roast…We even do half and half. What I like best is that the coffee is hot. What I like least is how fast it gets that burn-smell in the glass carafe, about the time it takes to drink that first delicious cup. I suggest if you drink more than one cup, pour the second right away, into a Yeti cup, or stainless carafe. I do not like how difficult it is to read the buttons. Tiny writing infuriates me. It isn’t even in bold lettering. But we only use the On/Off button now. Bottom line when all is said and done, this Kenmore works, it isn’t messy, and the coffee is so good every time. Update: makes such good coffee, we decided to order a stainless carafe to pour it into once the coffee is brewed. I have come back to give this coffee maker a fifth star.

Be careful with the coffee carafe, the plastic is more brittle than my former coffee carafe’s - be careful. I was able to fix with “Gorilla Glue.” Carafe was easily cracked. Coffee temperature is good; It’s easy to use, and It makes good coffee. It’s also easy to clean. It’s a fairly dark Red color, and has a nice appearance.

Despite the numerous reviews complaining about the very loud beeper sound when the cycle completes (or when it shuts off automatically), this is a really nice machine. (And yes, the beep IS loud but not obnoxiously so...) I switch back and forth between my Nespresso machine and drip coffee and wanted a new machine because the old Cuisinart was looking a bit haggard. Honestly, the red color is what attracted me the most (wanting anything other than black and stainless steel). It's a great, basic, no frills, easy to operate, great results coffee maker. Period.

Oh my gosh. This coffee maker makes the best cup of coffee. It is a large coffee maker so you do need the room for it. It’s very tall. Something I did not think about. I am 5.4’ and it is difficult for me to pour the water in to make the coffee. So I may have to purchase a shelf to place it on so I can reach the top better. The hole to pour the water in is not as large as I am used to so that does not help either. It is also a nice looking coffee pot. I love it. Especially since it was less than $100. Great buy. Will buy again

This coffee maker has a beautiful appearance on my counter. I wanted something white and bright. It has all the necessary functions for setting, scheduling, alerting, filtering, cleaning, warming and quick cup. I’ve had it about a month now and I like it more every day. I especially like that it has an adequate beep when brewing has finished since I am usually getting dressed and not in the room. It also beeps again when the keep warm heater is turning off, so you can grab that last cup before it goes cold. The mesh filter is a great money saver and easy to use and clean. This is easily the nicest coffee maker I’ve ever seen or owned.

Chose the red as my kitchen has reddish cabinets, so that was the motivation for this coffee maker, but it's just a coffee maker. Using the mesh filter and that works nicely - like not having to buy the paper cone kind. The auto-program feature hasn't failed, and my husband awakes at 4am for work, so that's super. But there's a bit to clean, and the water drips from the maneuverable lid, so don't know how long that will last. Looks sleek on my counter, though, and isn't killing the planet with frickin k-cup debris.
