The set up and function are very easy to use and the buttons are one push and your done. Excellent. Carafe is an excellent NO DRIP pot. Looks good. The issues that keep it from 5 starts is 1. it takes 38 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. It seamed to be taking a long time this morning ...even though the timer is set to go off 15 minutes before I am up and moving. Tested a pot with no coffee ..and it was a full 38 minutes ...way too long. Thankfully it allows you to pull the pot and get some coffee before it is done. 2. I am also seeing a large amount of steam coming from it and have never noticed that out of a coffee pot before. I would not set this under a kitchen cabinet. They all boil water so I don't know why this one has such visible steam in comparison. ... show more

    • Outlasted all previous ones
Over the decades, I've gone through a number of coffee makers. This model replaced an identical one that lasted about 12 years, far longer than any of my previous coffee makers. The heating element finally went out. Only negative, and reason I give it only 4 Stars on Ease of Use, is that filling the reservoir is not as easy as almost any other brand. Small area and the lid gets in the way. But after using it for a few months, you get used to it. ... show more

Looks good. Makes good coffee. However, the ready tone is INCREDIBLY loud and you cannot turn it off. Had it for a year and a half and now the ready tone goes off right after you press start, coffee takes a long time to brew despite following cleaning schedule, clock display is faded in some areas making time hard to read.     • Great coffee pot, annoying beep.
So far I really like this coffee pot. I’ve had it for a little over a week and it works great! It brews fast, it brews quietly, it’s easy to set and program and it looks nice on my counter. The only reason I docked it a star is the beep. It is so incredibly loud. It beeps when it’s done brewing and it beeps again when the heating element turns off after 2 hrs. The beep cannot be turned off and it cannot be turned down. If it was just a single beep or honestly if it only beeped at the end of the brewing cycle I probably wouldn’t even mention it. It beeps 5 long loud (LOUD) beeps. It just seems unnecessary. Plus if you want to set it to brew before you’re awake, it would absolutely wake you up. Or if you’re like me and enjoy getting up before the husband and kids and having a cup of coffee, it acts as an alarm. My kitchen is on the opposite side of the house from my bedroom and behind closed doors with fans on you can still hear the beep. Overall it’s a great little machine, I would absolutely recommend it, I just wish I could turn off or turn down this beep. ... show more

    • Nice Coffee pot but some annoying features
This pot makes good coffee but the gray rim surrounding the pot is on the inside too and prevents you from pouring all the coffee out the pot (it acts as a lip) Also, when the coffee is done brewing it beeps very loudly and you can’t turn this feature off. Also, the part where you pour the water in and where you put the coffee grounds in opens upwards so you have to pull it out from under the cabinets on the counter to fill it. This is the second time I have bought this same coffee maker. I had the first one ten years!! I was so excited to find that they still made the exact same one after all of these year!! Hopefully they still make it ten years from now.

    • Update: loud beep & didn't last long
Ok, I'm updating the review below and taking off another star. My coffee maker seems to be having electrical issues now, I've been using it for about 8 months. It randomly started trying to make coffee in the middle of the night one day (I had not used the "auto" setting). Also it seems to be taking longer to make the coffee and it's steaming up the inside of the time display window. It has also started making a loud click sometimes while it's brewing. I don't expect it to last much longer. I got this coffee maker because of how simple and sleek it looks. The looks didn't disappoint and it's simple to use and makes decent coffee. The problem is that when the cycle ends it makes an incredibly loud and irritating 3 beeps to let you know the coffee is ready, and thereby jolting you out of any sense of peace you may have had that morning. I have read the owners manual and can't seem to find anyway to turn the beep off, and as it seems that the speaker is behind the buttons you need to use, I also can't cover it up to dampen the sound. This is a seriously irritating flaw in an otherwise lovely coffee maker for it's price point. ... show more
