The freezer comes in a big box on a pallet. The freezer I received was well-packed and the packaging was undamaged. The freezer is wrapped in plastic and everything is installed including the wheels. Once I got it off the pallet, I plugged it in and the unit came on perfectly. After about an hour, the temperature dropped to below zero. Right now, this is sitting in my garage with the half-cow we purchased and it still has plenty of room. The only drawback is that the freezer only comes with one hanging wireframe basket. I purchased the baskets separately. The important number is that the interior hanging baskets need to be 22.5-inches to 22.75-inches in length. This is much longer than most baskets I could find on Amazon, but there are a few that can expand to this length. My wife and I are very happy with the purchase. ... show more

It's on wheels which is great because it's heavy. I cleaned out 2 small chest freezers and still have lots of room. The lock isn't that great. Comes with one basket. Wish they made dividers for it. Overall I'm happy with it

To make a VERY LONG story short, the Kelvinator didn't work when I plugged it in. Dave from Burkett & Sons elected to have a local repair man verify that, it indeed didn't work. Then after a hurricane and a terrified truck driver delayed pick up, it was eventually picked up and hopefully returned to their Ohio store. The reason this is 5 stars is that Dave either always called me back, or he answered the phone. I received a full refund and got to know a pretty good guy, it seems. Thanks again, Dave! ... show more

I deal with many shipments in my line of work, and I have to say this was packaged very well and had no damages in shipping. Once opened up, unit is well made and nice to have casters on unit. Will buy again and highly recommended.

    • Very nice freezer but needs light and baskets
This is a very nice freezer, but it only has 1 small basket so it’s difficult to organize contents. It also would be improved to have a light inside to see contents better. I have not found any baskets available from kelvenator and it’s been hard to find the correct size from other vendors
