Update 15MAY20: I love these boots but the stitching has failed. I fixed the failed stitching by super gluing the seam and it is holding well using thin CA and a catalyst. Doesn't look bad either. Took a long time to truly break in and where the boots needed to change shape to fit my feet is where the stitching let go. Now the boots are really comfortable and I really like them. Still give them 5 stars Origional Review: I am a picky wearer of work boots. My feet are shaped wide and the inside of my feet are almost completely straight (the heel to big toe line also is in line with the big toe joint). This means that my big toe always gets a lot of pressure from the toe cup. With some adjustments with pads, I was able to get this shoe to fit well. The footbed is hard and could use more padding or an insole. The wide version of this boot is pretty wide, which is awesome. I have only worn these boots for two days so far and the initial impression is that they are very hot, very sturdy, and actually are pretty dressy and go well with nicer clothes. If you are a salesman that needs to visit steel mills, aerospace, and the occasional sawmill, or you are an engineer like I am, these are a really great choice. You wont look like a burke in a nice restaurant and you will be comfortable at work as well - and you know that your feet are safe from everything short of a free-range jackhammer.

I got these boots for two of my guys in our manufacturing facility. These boots wore out at the toe seems not even 2 months into wearing them. Its been just over 6 months since my purchase and they have completely fallen apart. These boots are not in any horrendous environment, one is full time assembly the other runs a robotic welder, manual welds, and does assembly. I bought from Keen because it is an American company and they have excellent hiking boots. I contacted customer support from this Amazon seller to explain my situation, and received no response. My press area guy chose a pair of Danners with a metatarsal guard (his area is the hardest on boots by far, very oily environment that has broken down boots quickly in the past) and they are still in great shape. HEED THE WARNINGS FROM OTHER REVIEWS. I saw reviews that mentioned this exact issue, and took my chances anyway. Knowing Keen has good quality products. I am disappointed that Keen would dirty their name with this $250 dog turd they call a WORK boot. Taking into consideration this boot has a metatarsal guard, and the extremely high price. I thought we would have received the greatest boot ever constructed for everyday factory workers. The only positive takeaway, my guys said these boots were the most comfortable boots ever worn. So if you are looking for max comfort, and your trade doesn't require moving or walking. These are the boots for you.

Don't like the meta guards on the outside cuz the tend to curve inward when lonely tying. Not very scratch resistant on the leather. Bottom sold is not rock solid puncture proof but over nothing fully has gone completely through. I work at a glass factory 12 hour shifts on otherwise super smooth concrete with slippery glass coating and the soles are shredded up like I've been walking on outside grooved concrete for a year. 90 days. Had to buy better insoles and on top of that had to buy the inserts on top of those for 12 hr standing shifts. Otherwise the best durable bulletproof boot I've ever owned out of 100s

I work in a steel shop and these boots are perfect for that. Light and comfortable. I've been buying these boots for years and the first few pairs lasted over a year before any issues. Now my last 2 pairs were totally coming apart after just a few months. I also have 2 friends I work with that wear the same and have had the same exact issue. They come apart where the met connects to the front of the boot and leave your feet totally exposed. Maybe they'd be okay for a lighter duty job but they don't cut it for me anymore.

Grade A- for comfort. I’ve worn a lot of work boots and these are the most comfortable I’ve found. They hurt a little around my ankles when they were breaking in but that went away in a week. The toe box is very roomy so I installed thin padded inserts which helped with the rather firm sole padding. I can’t evaluate durability because they’re still new. I’m concerned they will not be as durable as typical work boots. As the headline says, they’re built like hiking shoes. On the plus side they are significantly lighter than other work boots I’ve worn. For my job, comfort is far more important than durability. I’m only in environments that require safety shoes about 25% of the time. I just never know when, so I have to wear safety shoes all day. If you’re in that situation, these are the shoes for you. I should also mention I have owned several pairs of Keen sandals and outdoor shoes. All were remarkably durable, so maybe these will surprise me. Grade B+ for appearance. They don’t look either good or bad to me, just utilitarian. On the other hand, several guys in our shop definitely noticed them and complimented me on them. The shoes have a lot of stitching on them and on my pair there were no flaws in the stitching. One minor complaint: When I got them the leather had some little scuffs where the shoes rubbed together during shipping. Not enough of a problem to return them, but when I pay this much money for shoes I expect them to be in perfect condition. Keen just needs to wrap them in paper a little more. Update: I've had these about a year now. I've had to get them professionally repaired twice due to failures in the seams. They're basically hiking boots with composite toes and metatarsal guards. Not genuinely suited to full-time work in an industrial environment, but still very comfortable.

Extremely comfortable, but if you’re a welder or fabricator, don’t buy. The stitching doesn’t last. Poorly constructed and I highly doubt that the stitching is made of Kevlar. I really was impressed with the comfort level right out of the box, but can’t buy these again.
