  • Vastly lighter than previous keens!
Size: 12 Color: Magnet/Black
Update-over one year later These still have life in them after one year of strenuous, high wear and tear commercial Foodservice delivery work. I unload 30-40k pounds of food multiple times per week off a semi trailer and walk it into stores with my dolly. The yellow pieces have zero affect on grip. They're for looks. See pictures! Pros: SUPER lightweight! These feel like light hiking boots and they have an athletic fit and feel. My go to Mt Vernon Keens feel like weights on my feet now. This makes a huge difference in the amount of energy you spend walking around a lot. Keen finally shortened the laces and these laces actually belong with this boot. Comes with the higher quality k20 insole. Previously only some of the non American built boots came with that insole. They seem well built and grip extremely well like any other boot from Keen. This new Konnectfit heel lock system actually works for me! The older design with straps would pull into the top of my foot and cause a lot of pain. I had to use a boot like the Mt Vernon that doesn't have it. I fit these boots in my normal Keen size. They don't run small like some Keen boots. Cons: None so far. I already thought that Keen's boots were light and comfortable, but this new design is vastly lighter and more athletic. This particular boot seems to have some reliability issues, but most people experienced problems pretty quickly. I'm a CDL A Foodservice driver and this job is super tough on boots. Keens usually last me 10-12 months, which is amazing, and I feel like these are going to hold up, but I'll report back if they don't. Keen could thicken the yellow Konnectfit fabric/lace/cord? thing and completely cover it with the rubber protective piece. Having some of the cord exposed looks cool, but I could see that being a problem in jobs that are highly abrasive to boots. The new Portland boot is American built and is this boot without the Konnectfit system or the yellow pieces of tread on the bottom. ... show more

  • Happy I had to try a new brand . . .
Size: 9 Color: Earth/Black
So I have to wear EH rated footwear at work, and Keen is one of the brands my employer offers. I have been a Danner fan for years and for the last several years I have been happy with them. I get a new pair about every 18 months - I wear them 5 days a weeks. Danner had supply chain issues after the pandemic (I think they are made in Vietnam) so on my last replacement I needed to try something else. I picked a Keen style almost identical to this. Wow! Liked my Danners a lot, but I am sold on Keen comfort. I ran in to an issue where I >thought< I left them somewhere - never to be seen again, so I bought THESE BOOTS as a replacement (now they are spares). The pair have been wearing every day for about a year are still very comfortable and the soles seem to be holding up better - can still put the top of Lincoln’s head in the tread :). So if you need an electric hazard (EH) rated, safety boot, this is a brand I am now a fan of. ... show more

  • Comfortable
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Earth/Black
The media could not be loaded. These boots are light and comfortable. They fit as advertised and have held up pretty well in the refineries. These don't seem to have the same cheap eyelets my other Keens had(broke shortly after purchase). I am happy with them so far, however adding some extra waterproofing to them is a good idea. ... show more

  • ONLY work boots my son will wear!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Earth/Black
These fit true to size and and the composite toe makes them feel less "clunky" than regular steel toes. My son has tried other brands long ago and will never change his Keens. They last him approx 3 years. The factory insole does wear out around 1 yr ( because he works 6 days a week and is on his feet all day) but we just add a liner or cushion. ... show more

  • Better than others i have tried
Size: 12 Color: Earth/Black
Didn't fall apart with hard use. Past work shoes don't last like they used to. The heel comes apart with use, or the toe comes apart, and very quickly. Used by someone who is in construction and is very physically active at work, climbing in and out of holes, etc. This shoe -at least so far - has not fallen apart and is more comfortable than expected, which protects back and legs from pain. The extra protection on the toe of the shoe is nice. ... show more
