These work! Not too hard to cut, you just need a strong, metal cutting scissors. I took another customer's advise and used velcro strips to install these. Walls are NOT perfectly flat so the glue strip did not work for me. I bought velcro rolls available here on Amazon and they did the job perfectly. apply a long strip to the wall and stick the other part onto the L shaped side bar where the glue is (take the plastic off) It creates a perfect fit, firm and will block any light that could come in from the wall imperfections. UPDATE: I ordered two pairs of these light blockers. One of the pairs arrived DESTROYED. The second pair was fine but the box was also pretty beat up. Amazon ships these in a long box but it does not have any support or strengthening corners so when you receive them, the boxes are bent, torn and in some cases even ripped open. You can imagine how the contents arrive as well. I had to return one of the pairs TWICE because I received them BROKEN and bent on both the original order and the replacement order. NOT ACCEPTABLE!

These worked great to block the light at the sides of our blackout pleated shades. I only gave it 4 stars because we have tall windows and the longest it came in was 54”. We had to cut a second piece to cover the entire height, which left a tiny gap but used white electrical tape Wish it came in longer lengths.

It works as one would expect, and was moderately easy to cut if you're careful. But you should be warned that using scissors to cut it may result in it breaking since it is fairly rigid, I would recommend a hacksaw or rotary cutter. Contrary to what some of the photos suggest, it is NOT magnetically attached. It is just normal adhesive strips- I found this out the hard way when I tried to adjust it and I took off some paint. The adhesive strips are decently strong though, I can't see it falling off anytime soon. Another note- it is very rigid, so if your window frame is older and the surface you're adhering it to not perfectly flat then you may have some issues. I had to cut mine in 2 places to make it completely flush with the side of my windowframe, but that's due to a quirk in my building and nothing to do with the product.

This is a very easy to use product. We put it on our wall next to blackout shades and behind blackout curtains. Small amounts of light still came through in a few places under the adhesive between the product and the wall so we bought blackout tape and ran it down the length of the product. Problem solved but it would have looked nicer without having to apply the tape (even though it is under a curtain).

These things work. Mine came in great shape. I read other reviews where they said there’s came in Damaged. This was not the case for me. Install was pretty easy but this is because I used a pipe cutter instead of a scissor. My scissor wasn’t cutting it (pun intended). The adhesive is super strong. Make sure you get it right the first time.

The adhesive ripped out a lot of my paint when I tried to adjust them. I purchased "Scotch Removable Poster Tape, Clear Double Sided Tape, 3/4-in x 150-in, Clear, 1 Roll" and applied it to the adhesive so not to rip off all the paint when I needed to remove or adjust.

I work nights and for the most part these are a Godsend. My only real complaint is that I could not find a good way to cut them to size. Scissors didn't provide enough leverage to cut the material. Eventually I went with a pair of tin snips, which made easy work of the cutting. However, the plastic tended to crack/split as it was being cut. Overall, I was able to create more or less presentable pieces (at least from a distance), but it took several attempts.
