I cannot comment on the overall quality of the item because it was a gift for a friend. I did open the box to make sure it was not broken. It was packaged well. It looked like it needed to be put together (meaning the stem/height of the lamp). Not sure how it went together but I seen it up in my friends home and she didn't say anything so it must not have been to hard to put together. ... show more

Call me stupid but I'm ordering a second one of these even after the first broke. Unfortunately for me, this is a perfect night light for our landing nook. To be honest, it's overpriced for the quality. How did it break? The connector for the charge cord (the receptacle end inside the base of the lamp that receives the cord) disengaged from the lamp, leaving it floating inside the base. We took the base apart and found that the soldering had broken apart. If you buy this, be extremely careful in inserting the charge cord. If this one breaks, I will most definitely be returning it! ... show more

    • Figured it out and now love.
New review after some difficulties. Didn’t realize the button was literally just a tap. Have had these for a while and use them in my basement theater room when we just need a little light. Work great and have remained charged for months. I do only use them for a few minutes at a time, but they stayed charged up for a long time. Perhaps if you used them for long lengths they would run down faster. Also have one in a spare bedroom on the nightstand where I didn’t want to install an actual lamp. Very pleased now that I figured them out. Bought 3 of these and, of course, waited too long to test them so now they aren’t returnable. Have no idea how to turn it on. “Button” is not functional. Doesn’t move. Can’t push in or “hold down” not touch sensitive or movable. Am I doing something wrong? Is the plastic ring surround supposed to come off? No way to contact anyone or figure it out. Feel like need to take the short bus somewhere and no idea how to resolve the issue. ... show more

Easy to put together and charge. Good quality. Nice accent lamp. This is the 3rd lamp of this kind I've purchased. Sadly, this particular one was missing the bulb cover. It still works great, but the shade isn't secured down.
