I bought this for my 1 1/2 yr old grand daughter and I’m NOT impressed! Definitely NOT worth paying over $150! It’s literally about the size of 2 cases of diapers side by side. And it’s pressed wood, not very solid at all. And NOT safe for children under 5, unsupervised.

I love the farmhouse look but I don't want to feel as though it will fall apart. I just received this yesterday and I'm worried it will not last our grandson's first Christmas visit. I arrived put together. We got it for his toys but it's far too small to hold much of anything. It was supposed to be an heirloom piece for him – forget that! I have wall shelves heavier than this! If you're looking for a temporary piece, something to sit and look pretty for you without being used, then I'd say this very small trunk is for you. ... show more

I bought this chest for my sons room with a bit of apprehension after reading some but so great reviews. This was a Christmas gift that I hoped could stand up to a preschooler and his toys. I was ecstatic, as any parent would be, that it came assembled! I love the distressed look and it is definitely sturdy enough for our use. His entire wooden train set fits and still room for more. The size is just right but don't expect something footlocker sized or you'll be disappointed. If it didn't work out for my son I was going to use it to store all our throws so it definitely should be versatile and would be great in a compact space. I hope this is helpful to anyone who is on the fence as I was. I would definitely purchase again. ... show more

Maybe this isn't meant for a coffee table but that's what we use it for. It's stains so easily, but I think that's just the type of paint that's used. This isn't worth the $124 I paid for it. I'm thinking $50 or $60 would have been a more reasonable price.
