I ordered this and found it was rather heavy for one person, but I used an appliance dolly I have to move it to the door where I opened the box and took it into the house piece by piece. After assembly, I found that it was not so sturdy as I had imagined, however, it is definitely sturdy enough to do the job. The doors were a bit tricky to get aligned properly, and didn't seem to want to mate up with the supplied magnets (for keeping the doors closed), so I bought some extra door-type magnets and fastened them to the top of the doors (the supplied magnets attach at the bottom of each door); now the doors are more easily fastened closed. I bought two for around $300 total. They were very easy to put together. I was able to put them together and place them where I wanted by myself. They look really nice in my space but they do seem a bit flimsely. I shook one and they kind of rock. I thought I put it together wrong but when I put the second one together it did the same thing. I would say not durable for kids but I don't have kids so it shouldn't be a problem for me. It does have a saftey clip to attach to the wall to avoid falling on children. But for the price I paid this is exactly what I expected and I really like it! ... show more

Product is decent quality overall and has a nice feel to it. Assembly was easy enough, but can be difficult without assistance. Only problem was one of the side panels arrived warped which creates a huge gap between one shelf and the side which isn't present on the other side. I absolutely love this storage cabinet. I read many reviews and decided to give it a try. I'm so grateful I did! It's perfect for my primary purpose, storing large appliances i.e. 7 qt mixer, Instapot, 6 qt slow cooker, and extra boxed dry goods. Shelves are strong. Doors are a little flimsy feeling but not a deal breaker for me as the cabinet won't be opened daily. Hubby and adult son put it together relatively quickly in about a hour.     • Easy to Assemble, Sturdy for the Price, Invest in a Ratcheting Screwdriver

I read the reviews before purchasing and was felt like I was pleasantly surprised once I got everything out of the box. The box itself was super well packed and even had thick cardboard attached/glued to each edge for extra support. There were no dents or holes in the packaging whatsoever. Everything is labeled for easy assembly, screws, pieces, brackets, ect. The cabinet sides and doors are a little thin, however, if you're not kicking the thing, it won't be a problem. There are two magnets that hold the doors shut, and honestly, they're a little strong for the weight of the doors, so I may set them a little further back to accommodate, as they make the doors more difficult to open. I was able to assemble the entire thing by myself, but would have appreciated a second pair of hands to mount the doors. I started with the center hinge and used my foot to steady the while putting the other two hinges in place (on each door) and then tightened once they were all on. You can loosen the stopper on the back of each hinge and that helped with getting the doors to close without a huge gap at the bottom. I may adjust further, we'll see. This cabinet does hold quite a bit, and I'm still figuring out what goes where. I mainly purchased this cabinet for pantry space as my kitchen cabinets are not deep or high enough for cereal boxes and at 5'5" the cabinets themselves are too high for me comfortably reach anything placed in them. My kitchen does have a lot of storage space, just not as easily accessible as I'd like. This cabinet solves those issues. Now the less used items can live on those high shelves and my food can be easily grabbed without ten other things falling down. A couple of recommendations: Have patience with assembly and lay out all of your pieces beforehand. The instructions show what pieces go where, so I laid them out according to what I was working with and when. I have vinyl flooring so I used the box as a mat to assemble on (which worked surprisingly well), but I would say use the box or a carpeted area so you don't scratch the pieces (I did knock one part into another and made a tiny and barely noticeable dent, so try not to do that either). Make sure you have plenty of space, I only had my kitchen area to put this together and would have loved to have been able to not be right up against my stove and cupboards while screwing the sides onto the top/bottom. Also, get yourself a ratcheting screwdriver, it seriously saves your hand. ... show more

    • Ridiculously in too many pieces

The finished product is nice. We’re happy with the cabinet in general. But it took forever to put it together. It was unnecessary for it to be shipped in as many pieces as it came in. The brackets could’ve already been attached, and many other smaller parts could have already been assembled. The ridiculous amount of pieces and time it took to put it together - only buy this if you’re ready for your marriage to end in divorce, lol Seriously!!! This product’s manufacturer needs to spend more effort having as much preassembled on this as possible. It will not cost more than putting all those screws and bolts and brackets and magnets into little separate bags and labeling them. Ridiculous. I tell you that this cabinet came in as many pieces as it did was completely ludicrous and unnecessary. I need more cabinets, but I do not want to buy this again. We still have two more to assemble. Too many pieces, too much time, and it is not easy. All the instructions could be simpler to understand. And one last thing, I wanted to have one of these cabinets freestanding - not against the wall, but the back isn’t finished! Both sides to the back panel should be stained with the same color as the other parts of the cabinet. So, the fact that it had too many parts, it was difficult to assemble with instructions not easy to understand, and the fact that the back panel is only finished on one side is what leads me to give this only 3 stars.
