The mechanical sweeper draws debris directly into its 5.25 gallon waste container and delivers outstanding cleaning results. It's extremely easy to maneuver, and the extra long bristles on the side brushes ensure thorough cleaning right up to edges. The adjustable, infinitely variable push handle can be easily adjusted to the height of each user, and can also be easily collapsed as without stooping thanks to a footplate at the frame and can carried by the handle anywhere for space-saving storage. I was quite dubious that I would find anything to do what I needed to get done. Within an hour of getting the box, I had it set up, put together and FINISHED the tasks I needed to get done. It cleaned my driveway,my newly cleared sidewalks and the edges around my patio and driveway. It would have taken me several hours to do all of that pushing a broom and I didn't have to set up a blower!!! Clean,tidy and easy. Had to work out a couple of techniques but even that was easy. As I finished I ran it through my garage and even that looks better than usual! What would be really awesome is if it had some interchangeable brushes that were a bit stiffer. But no complaints. I purchased this for the 4th of July event cleanup after manually completing this task for the past several years. Previously, we would have a group of volunteers, armed with push brooms, leaf blowers, etc. The task would take quite some time and involve a bit of sweat. This year, I saw this product and thought with this year's 4th of July event being planned larger than previous years, I would try something else for a change. I am sure happy I did. I'll tell you, after the event had concluded, and the volunteers has amassed, broom sticks and power tools in hand, I stepped up with my bright shiny new "Street sweeper" as everyone called it, and asked the group to watch and see how this will do. I took off across the fireworks debris area in a straight line, focusing in front of me, being led by a flashlight from one of the volunteers and when arriving at the distant end, turned to see the flashlight shine across the path I just walked and saw that the path was unbelievable clear. I was sure it would pick up some stuff and had anticipated needing several passes due to the sheer amount of debris, from motor shell cubes to large pieces of paper from large show cakes. The fine debris, the fireworks granuals that cover the ground after a large show, falls to the ground was swept up, again to my amazement. I looked at the group of volunteers, who at this time had ALL laid their tools and brooms into the ground and lined up to "Take turns" pushing this across the debris field. We were amazed at the ability to grab small papers and plastic from 10 large confetti blasters (That filled the bin about 4 times by itself, lol). Just amazed, not only at the performance, but also that days later, I am receiving calls from volunteers, asking about the street sweeper and where to get one. Not sure if this ended up being the star of the show, or the fireworks, but safe to say it's a close tie. Very happy with the performance and by the way, we finished the cleanup in apx 20 minutes, with minimal effort as compared to earlier years, without this very cool street sweeper. I used this to sweep up a 20k square foot facility that was half carpet and half paved flooring. There was a lot of junk on the carpet like paper punch circles, small trash, push pins and a million paperclips. The front has the rotating sweeping discs that extend beyond the edges of the machine, the rear has a narrower pickup that resembles a reel mower. They work great together, unfortunately by design it doesn't do awesome at the wall edges. It picked up most small and light debris from the carpet but left behind heavier items like nuts, bolts, washers and coins. it picked up the punched paper circles and paper clips really well. small sheetrock screws were picked up but took a couple to a few passes. Saw dust was picked up nicely from the carpet (low tight commercial office type carpet) but took a few passes. This machine was way faster than a shop vac and easier to use than a standard vacuum or a shop vac. On pavement it did really well on basic dirt, dust, small items, but suffered on nuts, bolts, washers an coins just like it did on carpet. Overall a great effort and time saver, though it's not perfect. I'd buy it again. ... show more

Worth it. It works like other reviewers have said. It captures a surprisingly large volume of micro dust without making a cloud. It will pick up lawn clippings from the sidewalk just fine, but the storage canister fills up faster than you might think; so lots of emptying required. Same with leaves. For a self propelled cleaner it does a fine job. Convincing my young helper that it did not pull back and forth was a dust cloud but he was happy to be able to do what he could. Kids are great, great grandkids are even better l hear. That one is just toddling around with her mom but she wanted to push too. What a great tool for our large shop! It is well made and the pieces and parts are well engineered and the quality is apparent. The issue is it just doesn't work very well and for one reason alone. It just doesn't hold much of anything. A handful of leaves will fill it up and if you keep going they will just start to fall out. When you go to remove the basket more leaves will fall out. My hack is to lift the back wheels off of the ground and to give it a good shake to force the leaves in the basket to move forward and away from the open end. It does a good job of gathering the leaves and feeding them into the wheeled brush underneath and where it falls short is the way in which it contains what it picks up and the emptying process. It works fine for dust and dirt but not for the leaves around a pool that fall during hot summer times temps. So so....maybe the higher priced version works better? Is this better than a good broom and a large industrial upright dustbin? No not at all. ... show more
