This is a truly splendid fixture. it uses a domed diffusion lens to spread the light around the room, and the adjustable brightness and color temperature are all one could ask. It's easy enough to install, given the limits of my room and ladder. The webpage in Amazon gives two different Lumen ratings: 2880 in the product details, and 4800 in the manufacturer's section. (could the difference lie between different sizes of light, i.e. 12 inch vs 16 inch?) I gave this one 4 stars instead of 5; it surely deserves 5+, but the package includes no instructions on how to use the remote. There's one image which gives a few details, but an owner could definitely use detailed instructions. Luckily the remote is nearly self- explanatory. This is a good product, in theory, to upgrade from an old "pull chain" ceiling fixture. The levels of brightness and remote control are a nice added feature. Here only about two months after having installed the light fixture, it has malfunctioned. One of the colors/temperatures of light now stays on at its lowest setting all the time. The other levels of brightness for this color do not work. We have the other two "temperatures" of light available, but still have this constant source of light all night in the ceiling. We are going to trash this fixture and replace with the mate in the box. I guess we will have to invest in another pair for the other bedroom where we had intended to place the second light from the original purchase. ... show more
