After owning a more expensive brand and hoping to find something a little more cost-effective, that still looks good, I picked this unit. Per the photographs that I shared, it’s installed in a bar area and looks great. Right out of the box, it Plugged in and started cooling. It shipped on a small palette, wrapped and protected well . The unit seems to make very little noise - I can only hear it when I put my ear to it. It cools nicely too. I find the shelves functional and easy to manipulate - shown in the final photo that I posted. I spread the shelves out and use the top wooden shelf for bottles to lay down. As shown in my photos, the countertops I have are standard 36 inches high and 24 inches wide. You can see that this fits easily with plenty of space all around to allow ventilation for the compressor. Additionally, the plug provided is flat which is excellent (something that I was worried might force the unit forward). I used a level to make sure the unit was sitting flat annd adjusted its height slightly (easy to do). I could also make the unit a bit taller to decrease the gap at the top, but it doesn’t bother me. I know that these units sometimes have problems, but I highly recommend this so far for the price, aesthetic and function.

The cooler is extremely spacious on the inside and has a sleek, professional exterior that looks great in a commercial setting. It’s very simple to operate, and the temperature holds steady even during busy hours. I use it for my restaurant, and it has quickly become one of the most reliable pieces of equipment we own. The design is clean, modern, and adds a very professional look to our kitchen space. Customer service has also been exceptional. 3 month review: While a feature or two may be missing- this is ABSOLUTELY the best value for the money if you're looking for versatility in a budget glass-front mini fridge. The wife and I keep mentioning how we should have gotten one of these years ago, it really does help keep the main fridge -relatively- clutter free. I needed to make a small adjustment to mine to give it optimal function, noted here. CONS: 1. Unfortunately the fridge light is not switched to the door, so it's either on (or off) all the time. I keep it off, probably will only turn it on when I have company over or the kids have a party. At this price point it would be silly to think that is a problem, no stars removed. If I feel froggy I'll run my own door switch. 2. The magnet door seal is not strong enough to overcome if you shut the door a bit too hard. This means that the door will bounce open slightly and you won't notice it. It's happened multiple times, FIX IS BELOW. 3. A small black rubber spacer sits between the bottom of the fridge door and the top of the vent lip. It's purpose is two-fold- to keep the door from sagging over time , and help prevent the door bouncing open as noted above. This important job means that the stopper will try to migrate away from where it is supposed to be sitting over time, meaning it NEEDS to be glued in place with a flexible adhesive or strong double-sided tape if you want to shut the door without paying too much attention. I took a knife and whittled mine so it didn't sit up above the set screws that it sits on. PROS: Mine is quiet, consistently keeps at 38°. The shelves are exactly what I was looking for without spending $600 to $1,200, adjustable enough to fit multiple size and types of beverages. I use the very bottom shelf in the shortest height to hold cold sake bottles and other medium size items. The wood shelf is up at the very top and holds juice boxes and other small items out of the way, so the center shelves can be full of beverages we use regularly. I got the extended warranty because -let's be honest- this is very reasonable fridge so I assume the failure rate may possibly be higher than a 'gourmet' model.

I’m very happy with this wine fridge. It looks great, works quietly, and keeps all my bottles at the perfect temperature. There was a small shipping issue that caused minor damage, but Kalamera’s customer service handled everything quickly and professionally. They were responsive and made the whole experience stress-free. Despite the initial bump, the product itself is excellent and I’m really satisfied with my purchase. Would definitely recommend!

After doing the due diligence, I finally decided on the Kalamera 15" 30 Bottle Wine Cooler" that had 4.5 Star average review of total of 147 reviews as of 2/3/17. I figured that it was a no brainer since the overall reviews were excellent. First Impressions: Packaging: Inadequate. The box is not fully enclosed. The bottom side of the box is open. This is where the wooden palette is attached to the refrigerator. The bottom of the package actually has a wooden palette. The overall packaging did not feel adequate. Aesthetics: The appearance is nice; however, it sits too low to the ground. Consequently, you are not able to see the interior temperature of the cooler. To see the temperature, you have to bend down good bit to have the visual on the temperature display. Deal Breaker Issues: The 30 bottle capacity is completely bogus. There are 6 shelves and each shelf can hold 3 bottles. So the overall capacity of this cooler is around 18-20 bottles not 30. By the way, the bottom shelf is not as deep (approx. half as deep) as the other 5 shelves. In terms of cooling: Current Cooler Temperature reported incorrectly: The temperature display does not show accurate temperature inside. It's off by 10 degrees. In other words, the interior temperature is close to 10 degrees *warmer* that reported by the temperature display. Design Flaws: - Temperature Display not viewable even from good distance from the cooler unless you bend down to the Display's level. - Bottom of the front door has a rubber stopper that is suppose to prevent the door from accidental openings. However, the same rubber stopper causes the door to not properly get closed unless extra force is exerted to close the door. This extra force also cause the refrigerator to shift around. - The trays are of cheap quality (one of the trays is broken in that the glued part of the tray came off). The sliding mechanism is not well designed. These trays look especially cheap when you compare them to the exterior of the cooler. Miscellaneous: This cooler is compressor based and therefore sounds just like a regular refrigerator in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, when measuring the loudness (in decibels), this cooler measure about 10 decibels *higher* than a full size Samsung 28 cubic feet refrigerator. I do want to put the noise level in perspective, though. Even though this cooler as loud as a refrigerator, the noise is not disruptively loud. At $600 price point, this cooler has some critical flaws like cooling is not adquate. I would **definately** NOT recommend this cooler to anyone at the $599 price point.

Are unit came on the day it was promised and was well packaged... not a single dent. It was easy to unwrap and in perfect condition. We followed the directions and let it sit for 24 hours. I put the handle on without much effort. I'd suggest that you use a long toothpick or meat skewer, putting it in the holes on the outside of the door, it makes it easier to locate the holes on the inside. As directed, after installing refrigerator and plugging it in we ran it empty for 24 hours. It reached our desired temperature setting of 34F and remained at that temp. We have now filled it with beverages and it is working great and is more quiet than our previous unit. We really like this unit and perfectly matches our other stainless steal appliances! Oh, and one "heads up" the handle came with the proper screws, but I couldn't figure out what to do with two little black plastic caps (which were not mentioned in the instructions). I finally realized that were to cover the holes where the handle was attached if you choose to not attach the handle.

I have only had the wine cooler plugged in for 24 hours but I am very pleased with the unit so far. The shipment arrived with no bumps or bruises, so I was very happy to be able to use it right away. I've set the temperature at 55 and have not been able yet to double check that with a thermometer, but it definitely feels like it's at a great cooling temperature. Some of the reviews have noted that you have to bend down to see the display, but unless you get a full size unit that is much taller, how else would you be able to see it? I love the look of the wooden shelves; I don't plan on putting 30 bottles in there so the capacity works for me. I like the fact the the bottom shelf allows for those bigger bottles that might not fit on the upper shelves. The unit is extremely quiet, I don't notice any noise at all. The only thing that I think would be a great idea is for the manufacturer to send their logo in the box that's included in the package which would allow for the purchaser to add it to the front of the door when it's determined whether or not the door hinges need to be changed. I will need to flip the door and the Kalamera logo will be upside down so I'll have to try to remove it. The wine cooler will go into custom cabinetry for a kitchen remodel project, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it will complement the kitchen design. Overall I think this is an excellent value & a great choice for a compact wine cooler ... I'm very happy with the purchase!
