  • A great small speaker to give you high-quality audio in a large room
Color: Black Style: 1- Speaker
If you're looking to add wireless speakers, etc. to your TV or other entertainment devices, Sonos is the way to go. Sonos is quite expensive, but you're buying not only high-quality audio devices but also the flexibility of being wireless for sound and the interconnectedness of all the Sonos devices. The Sonos app recognizes all of your various devices and makes it easy for them to work together. You can assign devices to specific rooms or, if you want, set up a home audio network where music is played everywhere. The Sonos app also integrates access to Apple Music, Amazon Music, or just the Sonos music that they offer. For a home theater, starting with a Sonos soundbar opens the door for adding other Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer. The sound bar, while using the Sonos application on your smartphone, will recognize other speakers and a subwoofer in the room. You also can configure the speakers to work separately, or they can be part of a surround sound system tied to the Sonos sound bar. The nice thing about each of the system audio components is that individually, you can touch the component (a speaker or soundbar for example) and control the room sound level, so you don't always have to go to the Sonos app on your smartphone to do so. You can get great sound for your entertainment system without requiring a receiver and complicated wiring. Generally, you just need: • A power cable • An HDMI cable for connecting to a TV • Preferably an Ethernet cable so all the devices can work over your Wi-Fi network • The Sonos subwoofer can work wirelessly, without requiring an Ethernet cable connection which is optional ... show more

  • Finally, a speaker that actually lives up to the Spatial Audio hype!
Color: White Style: 1- Speaker
I’ve been a long-time Sonos user, starting with the Sonos one to buying the Sonos Roam and now this. I was skeptical if the Era 300 would truly feel like a "generational leap," but after a month of testing, I’m sold. This isn't just a louder speaker; it’s a completely different listening experience. What I Loved: Immersive Spatial Audio: If you use YouTube Music, the Dolby Atmos tracks are incredible. The upward-firing driver actually works—you get a genuine sense of height and a "wrap-around" soundstage that a single speaker shouldn't be able to produce. Massive Soundstage: Even with standard stereo tracks, the Era 300 fills a large room much better than the Era 100 or the older Sonos One. It feels wide and airy. Connectivity Options: Huge win here. Having Bluetooth on a flagship Sonos speaker is a relief for guests, and the USB-C line-in (via adapter) makes it easy to connect other devices. Things to Consider: The Design: It’s "unique." The cinched-waist look is polarizing, and it’s significantly larger than a Sonos One. Make sure you have the shelf space (or the specific Era 300 stands). Price Point: It’s a premium investment. To get the most out of it, you really need a subscription to a service that supports Atmos. Line-in Adapter: Note that the USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is sold separately. At this price, it would have been nice to see it included. The Verdict: If you are looking for a standalone speaker for a medium-to-large room, the Era 300 is currently the best in the Sonos lineup. Bottom Line: If you care about Dolby Atmos and want a speaker that feels "future-proof," this is the one to get. ... show more

  • Great Sounding Speakers
Color: Black Style: 1- Speaker
Great speakers for what you get. When you buy Sonos you are buying the product but you are buying into the ecosystem that they have and setup is a breeze. I definitely get behind this product. The only thing I wish is being able to add more speakers in the group. There are work around but I am fairly new to this ecosystem. Just have to understand it more and that is a me thing and not a them thing. ... show more

  • A Life Improvement!
Color: Black Style: 1- Speaker
I upgraded our Sonos Arc system, (which had consisted of Arc, Sub, and a pair of Sonos Ones), to Arc, Sub and a pair of Era 300s. Once I got everything set up perfectly the sound is nothing short of otherworldly! Even on a low volume setting the sound just seems to come out of the atmosphere. That said, the set up was not as straightforward as one might expect. The directions are not easy to find for every situation. First you need to decide whether you want to set it up ultimately as a surround system, or put the emphasis on stereo music. Though you can switch back and forth, it’s somewhat complicated to do so. I tried it out both ways and settled for the surround mode and the music is still spectacular. I did ultimately call the Sonos help line to help me set things up so that my existing remote controls worked with the system rather than just the Sonos app. I got through to a rep in less than 5 minutes and he patiently walked me through the needed changes. One last complication I ran into after the helpline call: I performed the Sonos Trueplay procedure repeatedly and it kept saying something went wrong and to try again.Get this: I wear hearing aids and they were interfering with the Bluetooth setup. I turned off both my hearing aids and the Bluetooth on my iPad and Trueplay immediately did its thing. Then I turned my hearing aids and iPad back on, and everything worked as it should. From classical, to rock,to jazz, to Bluegrass the music is sensational! So, now the music is sensational, the TV surround is fantastic, and speech is more clear than it has ever been. We invested a fair amount of dough, but this now truly is a case of quality isn’t expensive, it’s priceless, as even my wife, who thought I was nuts to spend this much ,is absolutely thrilled with the end result. If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy, and Mama’s happy. ... show more
