My first smart home device. Setup was simple, it responds well to all my questions. I purchased a GE smartlight which does not require a hub and this mini connected to it easily and now I can turn lights off and on by voice. I'm looking forward to adding more smart devices.

Love this speaker. I do also have the issue with it speaking in an Asian language but it's easy to switch. My daughter who is 7 loves it also. She likes being able to just play music on a whim. Sound quality is great. Good warm sounding bass. It actually sounds better than I thought it would.

It's a great device to have around the house especially as a beginning piece to your smart home / space, right out of the box even without the start up guide setup is a breeze because the device practically sets itself up for you, almost so fast you could swear it was autonomous because the wifi/bluetooth simultaneous connection and permission acceptance happen quickly right behind each other, the size is surprisingly moderate so it's big enough to notice when you do see it but small enough to where it'll blend into the background of your vision like your peripheral without making you want to take a look so it's not an eyesore, the build is very solid so you can tell it's made of quilty materials, and while others are trying to sell these for upward of a hundred dollars these are considerably very affordable being that these speakers are the cheaper out of two offers on Amazon, speaker/ mic UI work pretty well, but of course you have to train the voice assistant & set the voice reaction sensitivity to where you'll need it, my only nit pick is for my speakers is I can't pair them together to play music. Don't get me wrong they will both definitely play music, but they will also default to only one speaker being functional as speaking to/interacting with, the other speaker will no longer respond so I just leave them separately paired to get full functionality out of both. Outside of those points I would say if you've been feeling hesitant to buy one or a couple of these speakers don't just get them. ... show more

I wouldn't recommend buying this product, as it is the international version of Google Nest. It came with Japanese on the box, and the default langauge is Japanese. I've had nothing but problems with this product. It fails to connect to the internet the majority of the time, and I've had to reset it multiple times just for it to show up on my Google Home. ... show more

I believe the one I was sent was made for China Origin. On first power up it only spoke in Chinese, I did get it set up able to speak English once it was added to my Google Home account, but some options in the Google Home app won’t connect to this Mini when the Google home app will connect and control my other Mini’s in my home. The print on the box it came in also was only written in Chinese so that was a dead giveaway, most likely will return and purchase another from a local store. One photo is Google Home that won’t connect to the China Origin Mini and second photo is same app connected to one that’s US origin. ... show more
