This is a good gun safe for the price. It keeps my guns safe from prying hands or accidents. It holds about 10–12 rifles and has a small lockbox for pistols, ammo or other items. The keypad is easy to use, and it comes with backup keys. Inside, there’s a shelf and a light that turns on when you open it. I got this because I needed security for me and my things. I registers every finger except my pinkies. They're too small. Works flawlessly every single time. W Quiet, seamlessly, reliably, and stealthily. I've not needed to open under life threatening circumstances, quiet needed, but, it works fast quiet and when I need. It's hefty, not flimsy. It's deceptive both in appearance and in the way it's layed out inside. However when I dropped it off the top of a tall dresser, it didn't falter. The contents didn't move. That's amazing considering what's inside. This is a serious biometric safe, not a toy. Mount it where you wish; car, home, office, truck. It's tough enough to stand up to the task. You won't be disappointed. There's ample room inside for documents, jewelry, coins, handguns, ammo, any number of medium and small items will fit into this safe. Plus it's economical enough if need be, for multiples. I am happy that I got mine at a discounted price, for a limited time. But even if I'd had to pay considerably more it would be well worth the additional money. I really love the functionality and offerings of this biometric safe. I believe it will live up to your expectations too. My pistols love it.

This gun safe is pretty sturdy and weighs a good amount. Building the safe was a bit finicky and instructions weren’t too clear but overall installation was pretty easy. Fits great in my closet and with the added code lock it keeps my guns safe and away from children. Worked perfectly for what I was looking for and would recommend this safe.

Ok, I bought this because my gun cabinet was the old (from the 80’s) wood cabinet with the glass window. After the glass broke, I decided to go another route. I came across this Kaer gun cabinet and dove into the reviews. Now, I always start at the one stars and move up. A lot of the negative reviews centered around poor assembly instructions, holes not lining up and the thinness of the materials. I do agree that the instructions are very poor, however it is a fairly simple cabinet to assemble so they didn’t need to be much more detailed. One item of note is the order of assembly is not specific enough. When I got to the stage to insert the shelves, I was unable to get them in. After weighing the options I decided removing the back panel and loosening the front was best. The shelves did slide in, but getting things back was a bit tricky, not impossible. If the company would letter or number its panels and shelves it would help immensely. Also, making the steps clearer would be good. Now, the holes not lining up issue has either been addressed or folks were just confused as to what screws went where. At first I thought the holes weren’t where they needed to be, but I quickly realized there are holes in the material that are not needed or are for a later stage of assembly. I had no issues with any holes or screws. Aside from the shelves being super tight, all the screws went in easy. Lastly, the materials. I cannot stress this enough. This is a gun locker, not a safe! Yes it has a combination lock but that is more for opening options than for a vault level of security. This locker will keep out the kids and grandchildren, but a determined burglar could defeat this with a crowbar. The door is beefy but the rest is thin aluminum. If you want a gun safe, this is not some deal you stumbled on. Buy a gun safe not a gun locker. In all I am pleased with the look and build of this. Changing from the old standby of the wooden gun cabinet is definitely an upgrade. It isn’t as tall and gaudy as the old style wooden cabinets are. The locks work well and there is plenty of room for all my gun but one. If you have black powder rifles, most likely they are too tall for the cabinet. All my other rifles fit easily. I think three stars are fair due to the poor instructions, and the issues with the shelves. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a cabinet with some level of security at a good price point.
