Description

This K&N NextGen cold air intake system is engineered for Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 5.7L. A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally molded tube helps increase the volume of airflow by 45.3% to your engine and provides an increase of 34.03 horsepower and 23.83 torque with no tune required. This intake system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow LIFETIME Air Filter featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions. I had this professionally installed as you should on a Kia stinger GT2 scorpion package. I would’ve bought this just for the sound that it makes that you can hear in the video regardless of any horsepower increase or torque increase. The unexpected gain that I got from this was fuel for performance of 6 miles per gallon increase! My gas mileage went from 17–24 to 23–30/32 MPG ! This is a huge deal for this car because it is a twin turbo. The installation is very easy and straightforward but I wanted it done professionally so I let someone else do it for $150. The quality of the materials are the best in the business everything From K&N is top notch quality! I definitely got a horsepower and torque increase but have not measured it yet. I have an OBDII diagnostic that I just need to plug-in and see what it says. I know I’m over 400 hp and 400 torque for sure. You have to understand that this is a twin turbo so they give you two of them one for each turbo. So you get double what you would normally get by just putting a single one in. I put a single one in my Jeep grand Cherokee before this car and got about 3 to 4 miles per gallon increase. This one just blew me away. I’m sure if I took a long road trip I would get 32 miles per gallon easily. If you own a Kia Stringer GT line or GT2 like I have I strongly suggest buying this. It is so worth the price. Great product. I have the "NextGen" version. On a 2020 Jeep WK2, 5.7. I do notice a difference in normal daily driving. It does appear to breathe easier and I notice the sound of a V8 engine breathing now, which I was expecting and welcome. Haven't driven enough yet to notice any MPH changes I do have two things to mention: - There is an AC line that runs under the intake tube. The K&N intake is now resting on the AC line. I think it will be ok. I probably wouldn't substitute some change in the pipe to accomodate the line (potentially affecting performace) just so that it's not resting on the line. But worth mentioning. I suspect they might not of had the clearance to make the pipe curve around it - at least not without making the tube narrower. - This is 100% my fault - but the new 1/2 hose for the crank vent to me looked too long - and it was long enough that the bend was causing a leak. Simple solution I thought -- I'll just cut the hose a little. I took about 2in off and now the pipe is too short to fit where it needs to so that the engine cover fits on. I assumed they just gave a little extra just in case... My bad. Luckily it's a simple/common hose. I can likely get it here for $5-10 I have used K&N filters in many vehicles. This is not a review of the product itself. This is misinformation that is listed for this particular cold air intake. It states that it will work on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2012 3.6 l engine but it does not. It is made to work with a intake manifold that is located in front of the engine. Mine is located in the rear left side or passenger side. The correct part number for the one that works on my vehicle is 77-1560KTK I have returned this one and ordered the correct one. Love the intake but I did not receive the box that protects the filter. That was the purpose of the intake so if they can send me that I will change this review! I don’t need a return just need that one piece because right now it’s zip tied due to not having the box that fits around the filter.
