I put this on a 3/4 ton Suburban and I’ve noticed a definite improvement. I have the 454 and adding the K&N kit has improved my fuel mileage by almost 2 mpg and I’ve noticed an extra boost in power. Installation was a breeze and that’s saying a lot considering I’m far from a mechanic. While installing I highly recommend taking the time to give your throttle body a good cleaning. Awesome product! Installed on a 97 Chevy Dually and it's like the truck came up from below water, hit the surface and took a giant gasp for air! The GOOD: MUCH better throttle response and motor feels just... perkier. The BAD: As others have noted this thing is loud! While towing my toy hauler and I hit a grade and open the throttle up my kids want to cover their ears in the back seats of the crew cab! At cruising speeds though its not even noticeable. it's only when you open it up. highly recommended though! ... show more

Fits on my 97 c3500 7.4. It did increase engine noise but not a noticable difference in MPG. Fitment was ok but it is still a little wobbly/loose even though all bolt/fasteners are all tightened correctly.

$100 off I had to pull the trigger and purchase this item. Zero regrets as my truck can now breathe and what a difference in horsepower. They claim an increase of 20 h/p and it is that if not more. Very happy with all my K&N products.

I bought this awhile back for the 7.4 litre 454. It was an easy install. It does make A LOT of noise while pulling. Very throaty. Works good for me beings I dont do a ton of pulling. Improved gas mileage and throttle response.

This thing breaths now! And man did it make the throttle response better. Worth every penny. And as side benefit im getting about .75 miles per gallon better!
