I bought one in “very good condition” for $75 less than the standard price. I was honestly a little surprised at how bad the fit and finish was on the roto mold. It looked like someone had taken a dremel tool to it and did a rush job. The install was easy but whoever returned it had the mass airflow sensor mounting plate backwards so the truck didn’t run after I installed it. I’m assuming that’s why they returned it. I flipped the plate around so the mass airflow sensor was going the correct way and everything worked fine after that. Not much of a sound change on the v6 but I feel like it breathes a lot better now and it does seem to have better throttle response. Edit: After driving it for a couple weeks there’s definitely a noticeable change in sound. Much nicer low end rumble without being overly annoying. Added a star because my truck is more fun to drive now and I’d still suggest it, but maybe the metal version. I’m just not a fan of chrome and didn’t see a black metal one. ... show more

Great Product!!! They did forget to put in 2 of the hose clamps which was aggravating having to go to the auto parts store to get them. But it you have the 2014 silverado with 4.3 v6 you will be impressed. Improved throttle response is an understatement The sound is great just enough to make you feel better about the v6. Fuel economy is even better I am getting 3 to 4 mpg better than before, it is a truck and I drive it like so no heavy foot. But yesss I did get into some of the extra power and yessssss you can notice the difference. This product was worth every penny. ... show more

You could make it work with some extra hose and t fitting but out of the box it’s not correct for a 2014 Silverado 5.3. This year of Silverado has a vent coming off each valve cover and this intake only provides ports and a hose for one vent. But the sound it makes is worth it. It revs out faster and has better throttle response. Edit: I have a tuner that i send data logs to for custom tunes. I sent him logs and the truck is now running very rich. Like uncomfortable rich. I’m willing to bet it’s because the MAF sensor is no longer in the correct location from the TB so it’s reading the wrong amount of air. I have a friend with a 2018 5.3 and this intake would also not fit without adding a T to connect the two valve cover breathers to the one port that K&N provides. K&N Cold air intake. This does make a very noticeable rumble(see video). The throaty rumble you can hear around 2,300RPM’s. Super easy install for those that are not mechanically inclined.
