    • Great product, but installation was a PITA
So title says it all. What should be a straight forward install was a pain. Instructions were great, but a few things... the hardware is a bizarre mix of metric and imperial fittings from Allen sockets to clamps to screws. Spent more time searching my tool bot for a specific fitting for each screw. Then there is no room in the back near the throttle body... have fun laying over the engine trying to screw that one clamp that has a high run-on so your screw driver and keep slipping. Then the hose that goes to the intake manifold... doesnt really fit at all. Too small. has to use a heat gun and heat the hose end to almost melting just to fit it on. Now for performance. Yes. It sounds great and and i do notice it starts pulling at 3.5k rpms rather noticeably. Very good for getting up to speed entering freeways, passing people, or any other situation where you need to hit the gas to get some more speed. This is expensive they usually say cry once and never again... well this product is cry twice THEN its all fun. ... show more

    • High quality, improved performance
This system is well worth the money. I have this paired with a TRD exhaust and the car sounds great. Throttle response, sound, and feel of the engine pull feels a lot better. The quality of this kit is excellent, made out of aluminum, and a carbon fiber intake filter gives a very good appeal under the hood. The air box completely blocks out the engine heat from getting to the filter giving you safe, cold air. This is something other companies don't offer, they have the filter sucking in hot air from the engine which will hurt performance. Installation took about an hour and was fairly easy. Some parts were tough getting to the throttle body with the tight space. The factory air box was a joke. The snorkel was only 2 inches in diameter to pull in the air, then had to go through a restrictive air box with a cotton filter, and going through a rubber/plastic pipe to the engine. If you want an increase in engine noise and throttle response I highly recommend this. Will update later with pictures, videos, and any difference in gas mileage. ... show more

Great product! Sounds amazing and my MPG went up considerably. (From 25 mpg to 33 mpg) Follow the instructions! There are some things that can go wrong but the instructions have pictures to show what you should be doing and how to align it correctly. Take the time and test after the install for leaks. I have always had K&N filters in my cars, and with my 2014 Scion tC, I decided to go a step further and install an aftermarket intake on it. Even with my stock exhaust, it makes my car sound even better--it has a nice angry snarl when I drive aggressively, and seems to have helped with performance, but I don't have a dyno to prove anything...just going by the seat-of-my-pants feeling and the grin-factor. I have a manual transmission, and after installing the intake (with battery unhooked, per instructions), the engine seemed to act a little funny (and I was scared it was going to stall) when coasting to a stop the first time I drove it. After taking it on a short trip (8-10 miles) and parking it for the day, the problem was gone the next time I drove it and hasn't reappeared. I would recommend this to anyone who is considering the purchase, if only for the improved sound/performance/FUN. ... show more

Has a noticeable difference in performance in a 2015 Scion Tc, it's gas mileage improvement isn't noticeable however. Huge difference in the sound and the throttle feels more responsive as well. Easy to install, made the entire engine bay look cooler. Deeper noise that is present when VVT-I kicks in at around 4000 rpm. Main reason I purchased it was the previous owner hydro locked his engine with the stock Intake that goes into the drivers side fender. Once I replaced the engine, I bought this to eliminate that risk of ever happening again. ... show more
